Great Mangrove nighttime boat tour with Elias - We had a fantastic time with Elias on the nighttime mangrove boat tour. Unique experience seeing a crocodile, baby crocodiles, birds, frogs, snakes, and lizards in the evening environment. Wonderful getting to chat and learn about this ecosystem. Highly recommend checking out the mangrove.

Night safari boat tour - Absolutely loved this night safari boat tour with Byron as our guide! He pointed out so many things & was knowledgeable about it all. We were able to see snakes, frogs, crocodiles, lizards, raccoons, rare birds & bats to name a few. After our tour we ate at a local restaurant, the food was wonderful! Definitely would recommend this excursion with Byron as your guide.

Really exciting night tour - It was amazing. We saw snakes, lizards, birds, a racoon, a baby crocodile and a sloth scratching in the trees (a bit difficult to see in the dark). The trees and vegetation were really beautiful. I was really happy with our guide, Enderson. I was really amazed at his ability to spot animals that blend in so well with the vegetation I could never have spotted them myself. He was very friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming. He made the trip feel really exciting. I would recommend the trip.

Cool tour- knowledgeable tour guides - Super fun tour with a very knowledgeable and nice tour, Byron. Made the ride a lot of fun with fun facts and had a great vibe.

Must do experience!! - Great experience. It was thrilling , tranquil, and peaceful if that makes sense. I love seeing the animals in their natural habitat. Enderson was extremely nice and educated. He pointed out all the animal and plant names.

Good experience - It was a very nice tour, we touched a little crocodile and a lot of animals thanks to Inderson. A great guide it’s a good experience.

Waste of money - The tour guide is the only reason I gave this tour 2 stars. He was so kind and excited about providing the experience. The tour itself was the worst I’ve ever experienced. The boat is riddled with spiders and other bugs that they could’ve cleaned off before the tour. We spent so much money and only seen lizards, birds, and leaves! It rained almost the entire time and other boats took their guests back and provided a refund, but ours continued in the rain with no animals in sight I’m guessing to not have to provide refunds 😡 The food was NOT good(my opinion) others seemed to enjoy though.

Wildlife Enthusiast’s Nightmare - This is a good evening experience if you simply want to see nighttime creatures. However, if you have done other tours and so might be expecting some more interesting information about the creatures and the mangroves, this tour is a bit disappointing. The guide was a lovely man, but told us only the names of flora and fauna and a few other details if questioned. He didn’t really give a tour, he just shone his torch at things & told us what they were. The actual ride itself I.e. being in the mangroves was cool, but your was not value for money. On top of this, we found it outrageous that he picked up a baby crocodile!!! And then wanted a picture with it!!! This does not align with the ‘no animal selfies’ movement that Costa Rica is trying hard to enforce. What are you teaching tourists?? If a guide picks up the animals and takes pictures with it, why shouldn’t they??? Not good conservation at all. Hence, nice guy, fantastic place, but very disappointed and would NOT recommend. Sorry.
