Experience culture, nature, friendly family/staff - We had an amazing experience at this family owned ranch. We got to experience more of the culture of Costa Rica. We learned about the history, wildlife, ecosystems, and much more. The horses are well cared for and very tame. It ended with a wonderful home cooked meal. I highly recommend this tour.

Great ride with great people - The riding was very well planned and the views and educational commentary were very good. The stops were great and there were decent breaks from the saddle. The provided lunch was delic.

Beautiful, passionate family ranchers! - Excellent! Randall is so passionate about their ranch, their family and spreading his knowledge about the ecology and history of the area. A sweet man and a sweet family! He took the pictures of us and what we saw as we rode. The horses are well trained and gentle. Papa even readied the horses and greeted us. The waterfall swim was perfectly planned and lunch was scrumptious!

Horseback riding and waterfalls and home cooked meals! - When I say 5 star ⭐️ service all the way around it was just that. You will feel at home with this wonderful family that is genrations and history. The horses are well behaved and this plantation has it all from wildlife to waterfalls. Hands down the best. We ended with an amazing home cooked Costa Rican meal cooked in their home. They have all kinds of friendly animals on the property. I got all the kisses and my guy Juan Pablo he’s 8 years old following in the family tradition. What a wonderful experience thank you so much.

Loved it! - Such a wonderful experience! Great way to see the beauty of Costa Rica and have an authentic delicious meal. Highly recommend. Only bring children though if they know how to ride a horse or are old enough to do so.

Best Tour! - Just when we thought our tour experience couldn’t get any better, we went to Rancho Tipico Don Juan! Amazing tour guide Randall, stunning views, beautiful horses, educational hike, swimming in a waterfall and ending with a delicious lunch. 10/10 recommend! :)

Great horseback riding - This was an amazing tour! You get a real experience of horseback riding! They weren’t trail horses which usually walk single file. These horses were well taken care of and it’s on a beautiful unique piece of property! They rode well and even ran a little (our favorite part)! Besides the horse back ride, Randall our guide was very knowledgeable about different plants and animals and took his time with the tour nothing felt rushed! We ended at an amazing private waterfall with the option to swim, after they had lunch waiting and it was delicious and home made! Overall great experience one of the funnest things we have done!

Súper fun, and educational - Randall was amazing and very knowledgeable. We had an amazing experience that felt tailored to our style. Not only was he a great tour guide but a superb educational instructor. We learned a lot about Costa Rica’s history as well as the land where we were riding, while also explaining all about the different type of venomous snakes, plants, and every type of wildlife. Overall it was a great experience , and great lunch to end the tour. I would definitely do it again or recommend it to other people.

Very fun experience, wonderful guides - Wow was this a fun experience. Randall and his father gave our family a fantastic tour of their property that has been in their family for 85 years. Our child was a little nervous for their first riding experience, but they made it very comfortable with a nice gentle horse. We rode through their amazing property to a waterfall for a swim. It was also helpful that Randall took photos for us and air dropped them to me at the end of the tour, so I didn’t have to worry about messing with my phone. We capped off the experience with a very tasty traditional lunch.
