Escape to Quepos for a Valentine’s Day filled with romantic adventures and natural wonders. With clear mornings perfect for exploring waterfalls and beaches, and thrilling ATV rides in the afternoon, this getaway promises unforgettable experiences despite the afternoon rain.
Morning Bliss: Waterfalls and Beaches
Start your romantic getaway in Quepos with a splash of adventure and a touch of nature’s magic. On February 1st, the day begins with clear skies and mild temperatures, perfect for a morning exploration. Dive into the Waterfalls Adventure from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, where you’ll be whisked away to the enchanting Portalón pools. Feel the adrenaline rush as you leap into the cool waters, surrounded by lush greenery. The journey continues to Playa Linda, a serene beach where you can unwind and soak in the sun’s gentle rays.
As you venture further, the artisanal town of Dominical awaits, offering a charming boulevard lined with unique souvenirs. The highlight of the day is the Poza Azul in Dominicalito, a hidden gem in the jungle where you can slide down a natural water slide and jump from a thrilling platform. After a morning of excitement, savor a refreshing snack of fresh fruits and cookies before heading to the majestic Pavón Waterfall. Here, a natural massage pool invites you to relax and rejuvenate. Conclude your adventure with a delicious lunch at La Fonda D’ Costa Pacifica, where local flavors tantalize your taste buds.
“Must do! - Our group of 2 adults and 4 teenagers had the best day with Ian, Sebastian, and Pablo on the waterfalls tour. They picked us up at our villa and took us to 3 waterfalls, Playa Linda Beach, the surfer town of Dominical, and lunch at their family restaurant called La Fonda. Each waterfall was unique. There were jumping spots, rope swings, platforms, and natural slides. The kids loved the adventure. It’s an advantage having the private tour because we were able to work around the bigger groups that would come in. The final stop was a delicious lunch with fresh juice, arroz con pollo, plantains, and salad. Ian was very informative about local customs and he always made sure we were safe. Pablo was a great driver and stayed with the van so we didn’t have to take our belongings out at every stop. If you like adventure, take this tour!” - Reviewed on 2024-07-31
Afternoon Thrills: ATV Adventure
As the afternoon rolls in, the weather might bring some rain, but that won’t dampen your spirits. Embrace the thrill of an off-road adventure with the ATV Tour from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Feel the rush as you navigate through the rainforest on high-end ATVs, guided by knowledgeable bilingual guides. The journey takes you through the dirt streets of local villages, offering a glimpse into the region’s culture and lifestyle.
The highlight of this tour is a brief hike through the primary rainforest, where you might spot toucans, sloths, and vibrant tropical birds. The adventure culminates at a stunning waterfall, where you can take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters. After the adrenaline-pumping ride, enjoy a traditional Costa Rican meal, a perfect way to end the day.
“Must take tour! - Awesome tour! The staff was friendly. The activity was just great! Pura vida! We went through the jungle and arrived to an amazing waterfall.” - Reviewed on 2024-11-17
