Exhilarating and Unforgettable - The whitewater rafting was exhilarating! The rapids called the "washing machine," the "roller coaster," and the "Mike Tyson" are aptly named! The tour guides were very friendly and informative, stopping the van to show us different plants and animals, and taking amazing action shots of our group and of an iguana we spotted along the way!

A ton of fun, far exceeded expectations - Iguana Tours was extremely helpful booking a last minute tour for our large group, and we had a fantastic time, even the two young kids! The guides Mauricio, Gabriel, Brian and Christopher were fun and knowledgeable and our driver Miguel drove the high clearance 4WD super van through some impressive spots, which let us go farther than other companies can go. The stop at the waterfall was magical and lunch was delicious, you can’t go wrong with this tour!

Fun For The Whole Family! - Our guides: JC Gabriel Mauricio Miguel and Carlos If you want to have the very best white water rafting experience then you must book through iguana tours. There were so many highlights of this trip and it started from the moment we picked up from our hotel. Scenic Drive: Our guides were extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and even made a few stops along the 1.5 hour drive to let us sample some of the herbs and spices such as vanilla, lemongrass, cinnamon and oregano. Also passed through a couple of small towns where they told us about how the community lives. Truly fascinating. Rafting: We had a highly experienced rafting guide named Gabriel. He was not only entertaining and upbeat but also safe and informative making sure to point features along the river that we would miss otherwise. In addition to rafting, there was a section where the river was calm and Gabriel let us out of the raft to float downstream. I thoroughly enjoyed floating on my back and taking in the beautiful scenery! Also, we stopped about midway at a waterfall where we were provided snacks, fresh fruit, and water. We were given plenty of time to take pictures and the guides did a great job making sure the pictures were perfect. Speaking of pictures, there was a a couple of guides in kayaks taking action pics and videos of us. Make sure to bring extra cash or colones to buy the pictures, totally worth it! Lunch: lastly lunch was well prepared and fresh. Several different protein options and vegetarian as well. Beer and carbonated beverages was an extra cost. If i could give a 1000 stars i would. Iguana Tours is the BEST! - We have a family of 5. Kids aging from 15-18. We booked white water rafting with Iguana tours. It was amazing!! I’d highly recommend booking with them. It was a 3 hour tour on the river, we even stopped at a beautiful waterfall. Our tour guide, Mauricio was so fun and engaging. He made it so fun for our kids. We felt safe and protected. The entire crew had a lot of experience and was well trained and made us all feel very comfortable.

Rafting with my wife - It was one of the best activities we did in Costa Rica our guides Mauricio and William were the best, full of knowledge about the area and the nature we really enjoyed all 100% recommended

Family friendly white water rafting through the jungle - My entire family had a blast. The ride to the top of the river was much longer than we anticipated, and much more treacherous, especially for my daughter who often gets motion sickness, but the guides did a great job of making sure everyone felt okay. They also stopped many times along the way, pointing things out, talking about what we were seeing, and giving us samples of the plant life around us. It was so educational while also fun. And that was just the trip to the put-in! Once in the water, the guides did was so friendly. We had a boat to ourselves, which also was more fun and more comfortable for all of us. The rapids were just enough to be fun without being rough. And the waterfall pit stop was phenomenal. Especially with it followed by a delicious fresh fruit snack and a little bit of ad hoc fishing. Finally, the lunch spot was very rural and a little bit different than what we were accustomed to but the food was PHENOMENAL and the service was so friendly. A great peek into Costa Rican life. Juan Carlos, Miguel, and Mauricio did such a wonderful job. You can tell they love what they do and want everyone to be happy.

Awesome afternoon of rafting with Iguana Tours! - We booked a rafting tour at the last minute with Iguana Tours. My expectations were low as the rivers are low this time of year. However, this turned out to be one of the best experiences of our entire trip, largely due to the professional, fun and safe environment created by Iguana tours and especially our guide Kenneth. Kenneth was extremely knowledgeable about the river and area, and a great guy besides. And even though it ended up raining most of the afternoon, that only added to the experience as it raised the river level as well. Highly recommend Iguana for this adventure!

Awesome Rafting with JC - Wonderful experience! JC from Iguana Tours along with several other great guides took our group of 15, including children down the river. JC and the others were super oraganized, very safety oriented and really knew what they were doing. Plus, they were so much fun! Highly recommended.

Best tour we did in Costa Rica - Rafting the Rio Savegre was the most memorable part of our Costa Rica Spring Break. We booked an afternoon tour and a driver picked us up at our hotel and took us to the bus. The morning tour was running behind, so we started a little late, but it was cooler, the animals were out and the river was perfect. Our guide Brian made sure we hit all the action and we finished our trip at sunset in a pouring warm rainstorm. The kids won’t stop talking about it.
