I expected more from this place - I had very high expectations for this place, the spot is very cool, very instagrammable, the waiters are very attentive, but the truth is that an expensive place, you have everything included until 5 in the afternoon, then everything is on your own and The prices are VERY expensive, the buffet is good.
The music leaves a lot to be desired, it's the same beat all the time, it gets boring after several hours.

Growing pains between EDM promoter and Vallarta Adventures - We visited Majahuitas beach and club on 3/4/23 booking a tour through Vallarta adventures. We had just completed the Alma show tour through Vallarta adventures the prior evening, we couldn’t have been more impressed with the production, food, ambiance, and great service provided by Vallarta adventures. Unfortunately, the experience at Majahuitas beach club was not nearly so great.
Vallarta Adventures has only recently purchased the Majahuitas beach club, and it seems there are still some growing pains between likely the EDM promotion company and Vallarta Adventures. I suspect if leadership from Vallarta Adventures takes more control of some finer aspects of this tour, it will improve.
Some of the experience was great. The beach setting and infrastructure for seating options, fire pits, laser light shows, bathrooms, stereo system and music all were amazing. Also, we purchased the $199 (before discount) open bar and food option, ultimately, we had an open bar on the boat ride and during our entire time at the beach club. The food was ordered ala cart (limited menu but enough options), this too ended up being included. When it was time to go, our bill was $0, so truly an all-inclusive experience.
There were some major negatives.
1. Boat ended up leaving almost an hour later than promised -- Our email from Vallarta adventures told us to show up at 12:30, we did, very few people were there. We ended up leaving closer to 1:45, many people showed up between 1 and 1:30, this was the first hint of a lack of coordination between the EDM promoter (he wore a Majahuitas black t-shirt, not a Vallarta Adventures shirt, like all the Vallarta Adventures staff) and Vallarta Adventures.
2. Table service was slow – We likely got unlucky here, it seemed our waitress was training (and struggling). All transactions had to start from the waiter, you couldn’t go to the bar and order a drink, the all-inclusive clients were a minority, about 20 vs. 200 total people. You have to “pay your bill” before you leave, which is obvious when you are incurring charges. It was strange to have to wait five more minutes to pay our $0 bill, but it was a needed step, to leave the beach, you must prove to the boat staff that you have paid your bill.
3. Boat was supposed to leave at 10:30 pm, EDM promoter ultimately planned to have the music play longer, likely for most, the boat didn’t leave until 12:30 am. While this was likely a major “plus” for many of the young EDM crowd, most of us who had booked through Vallarta Adventures desired to stay on schedule. Fortunately, the rumors about staying longer buzzed enough that we were able to communicate with the EDM promoter and he ultimately got a small Vallarta Adventures boat to take about 10 of us to the dock where the Alma show departs and we took the large Alma shows catamaran back to Puerto Magico (PV) with the 5:30 tour group. This ended up being a major “win” for us as this is a fun ride home with dancing and a show produced by the Vallarta Adventures crew.
4. Lack of coordination and communication – Had the rumors not started, we would have been stuck at the beach until 12:30 am or later. Simple communication could have prevented this frustration. If the EDM promoter had proactively communicated that there will be an option for the Vallarta Adventures guest to take a smaller boat to the Alma dock at 9 pm, none of us would have been upset. One couple hired a private boat to exit when they first heard the later departure rumor, if they new the other option existed, they would almost certainly have waited.
5. Crowd was young – This wasn’t too unexpected, but since many of this young crowd seemed more interested in taking selfies and spending time in front of the mirrors to “freshen up their appearance,” it took away from what we like about EDM, dancing to the music with others who also like dancing to the music.
6. Food was so-so – We only ordered guacamole and tacos (one order of shrimp, one order of steak); This was easily the least tasty meal we had during our 6 day stay in PV but it was edible. The food at the Alma show was very good, one of the best meals we had during our stay.
In the end, I think the EDM promoter and Vallarta Adventures can coexist and do better with some simple communication and logistic changes. But until you see hints that these logistic changes have happened, you might want to skip booking this trip.

Unless you’re 20 and like dark music with the same beat all night, stay away! - Vallarta Adventures is a well run organization and their staff is great. We went to Rhythm of the Nights so the bar was set high. However on this excursion, I thought the DJ was awful. Music was dark, same beat all night, and I like EDM. Not many people were dancing. Bad vibe. I couldn’t wait to get off the island. In Mexico,

The buffet was vastly understaffed and there were not enough tables and cutlery. There were no fireworks or new years countdown. Overall horrible management and a company to avoid at all costs!
