Great experience from a local business. - Elliot and the team were friendly, informative and passionate about their heritage. The food was delicious. The group was small which was nice. I am happy to support a small local industry and learn about the culture and history from them.

Fun day at the temple with lovely lunch. - Perfect small group tour. Great direction to get to tour operator. After a 49 min ride to the temple the guide gave us a very informative overview of Mayan culture and the temple. Lunch and making tortillas ourselves was a treat.

Rain or Shine - This Tour’s a Favorite of Mine - The excursion was amazing! It was a small group tour of the ruins and then an intimate lunch in the Mayan Village. The tour guides emphasized that this company delivers an authentic experience in a real Mayan village (which we loved!). It was a bit of a walk to get the tour van from the ship. Natives Choice provided a map on how to get out of the cruise port and find their kiosk. It was raining when we left the ship, so I would definitely recommend bringing a poncho or rain jacket in order to make the walk. 4 out of the 7 of our group decided not to brave the rain and they regretted missing out. Overall 10 out of 10 and our favorite excursion on vacation! I would book this over a large tour bus from the ships any day!

Great tour! - Great tour! Lorenzo was very knowledgable about the Mayans and filled the hour of travel to the ruins with useful information on local culture, economy and history and he has an archeology background which was very useful. The village provided a delicious traditional meal and it was fun making tortillas, and it brought tourism dollars to the local economy that otherwise wouldn't benefit. Highly recommend. It's a little tricky to find them out of the port...the address gets you almost there but I was staring at an empty building and the viator listing didn't provide the tour provider name, which i think is Native Tours. Everyone found it eventually but you just walk a hundred yards further along the street to where the mini busses are parked and then the tour guides will greet you and guide you to the kiosk and you are in great hands from there.

Wonderful day - Chacchoben ruins were awesome and our guide was native to the village and had actually been on site years ago as the restoration was being done It was so great to support the Native experience from someone with firsthand information. The visit to the village and the women who taught us to make tortillas and fixed us a delicious lunch were very nice.

Wonderful Excursion - Loved interacting with the wonderful Mayan Family that cooked for us. The ruins were very interesting with all the history, but be advised that climbing them is not for the weak. However, definitely recommend this excursion for the experience.
