Great, but expect many hours sitting on the bus. - My wife and I did this tour on September 26, 2024 and we enjoyed it, however it was a lot of time on the bus and we didn't get a lot of time at the sight or the the cenote. We got picked up from our hotel at 6:45 am and got to our meeting sight around 7 am. We got on the bus and started to head out to the site when we had to changes buses due to a bum tire. Changing the bus took 45 minutes to do and we lost a lot of time because of this and other reasons. The main tour guild was great, but this was a bilingual tour with half speaking English and half speaking Spanish and the back and forth was a little hard to follow. We got to the site and were given our water bottles and were offered an umbrella, which for some reason my wife and I didn't take and this was a mistake. As soon as we stood in front of the temple, the rain came and we got soaked, TAKE THE UMBRELLA! This kinda ruined the day for us, but NOT the fault of the tour guide or the company. Our guild gave us a lot of great information about the site and the temple buildings, but at the end of our, "guided tour," we were taken into the forest to find his friend tent and were basically harassed by them to buy things. I personal planned on buying something while we were out there, but this was a waste of our time. Before getting off the bus, we were told we'd have a little under 2 hours at the site. When I booked the tour, we should have been given 3 hours. The guided tour took about 45 and we given free time from there. The site is very spread our and with the rain, everything was covered in mud so getting around wasn't too easy. My wife and I got our photos and purchased a few things and headed back to the bus to make sure we were on time. The venders or a bit pushy, but not rude and will haggle, be respectful towards them! The goods they are selling appear to be hand made and mostly had great qualities we got some nice things at lower then asking. Bring cash and smaller bills! Some people can take card, but cash will be easier and you wont get extra fees for the card uses. We got back on our bus and ended up waiting on a couple for ten minutes after we should have departed. Our next stop was at the cenote and that took about 20 to 25 minutes to reach, but it was a pain to change out of our soaked cloths, walk the path to the entrance, and trek down the steps to reach the pool. The cenote has two paths to walk through and about 100 steps to walk down before you can start to swim. There is one place with bathrooms and one for lockers and changing area's. The lockers were $2 CASH ONLY, so if you want a locker, bring cash. The entrance to the pool is kinda a cluster f*@K because people stand around taking pictures and are fearful of jumping into a pool that is 60+ feet deep even with a lifejacket. The water was a bit on the cooler side, but enjoyable. The bad thing was, we only got 1 hour here and as busy it was and some other issues we had, my wife and I only had about 10 minutes in the pool, so that was disappointing. We got back on the bus and again had to wait for the same couple and now were delayed an additional 20 minutes. At this point we're over an hour delayed due to the bus and the same couple always being late coming back to the bus. I'm sure this is what lead to what happened the rest of the tour. Next stop was lunch in Valladolid. It took about two hours to get to lunch. The breakfast they provide isn't great, but its something. The only issue is, breakfast was around 7:20ish and at this point in our day, it was pushing 1 pm before we started to make our way to lunch. The 2 hour bus ride was okay, but our driver was very content in keeping to the speed limit or below. That fact will come back a little later. Once we got to Valladolid the restaurants almost made up for the lateness and personal issues we experienced. The food we had was what my wife and I wanted since we landed in Mexico a few days prior and our hotel was very disappointing in their food options, but that's another story. I think because we were delayed, we got to lunch at the same time as two other buses from our company and a few others, so the buffet was jammed packed with hungry people. We were given an hour to eat and walk around the town on our way back the town center to meet the bus. Tour buses aren't allowed to park in the town center and had to either circle or park somewhere else. We had to meet in the park and look for our bus within that hour we were given. Luckily, everyone was on time to meet the bus and we started our way back to our hotels. Its 3 pm at this point and we were about 2 and half hours away from Cancun. The bus ride back seemed like it took longer then the trip out. One thing I didn't realize until being told this was, Cancun and were Chichen Itza are is in a different time zone. You gain an hour going out and lose one coming back. So, when we started our way back it was 3 pm local time, but 4 pm Cancun time. Our driver refused to go above the speed limit and we were passed by 4 similar sized tour buses on our way back to our hotel. We didn't have to debus to go back to our hotel, but for my wife and I, we were one of the last stops to be dropped off. We didn't get back to our hotel until 8:45 pm. Day stated at 6:45 am and ended at 8:45 pm. LONG DAY for us. Was it worth it? Yes, but be prepared for a 12-14 hour day, bring cash, and TAKE THE UMBRELLA.

Sarai is AMAZING!!! - Sarai was AMAZING!!! She did an excellent job translating in both languages (English, Spanish). She provided nuggets of history about the area and is was an excellent journey. It was more than an excursion, it was an experience! Thank you, Sarai!!!

Brutal! - We made the visit with the guides Karla and Alfredo and we must emphasize the good disposition, competence, sympathy and kindness. They explained everything in detail and showed great taste for what they do. This tour is perfect ☺️

Wonderful historical and cultural experience - We did the Valladolid, Xixen Itza and Cenote Tzukan tour with this operator on Recommendation of the Mayan Caribbean Trips agency and really was spectacular Guide Rodrigo Ortiz with a kindness, knowledge and willingness to all tests, we learned a lot about the Mayan culture even learned about its numbers and grammar. Already in the historical site it makes a very interesting and interactive guided tour 100% recommended, back and after the heat of Xixen, the Tzukan cenote is an oasis with excellent facilities to change the and enjoy its beauty. A spectacular tour thanks to Rodrigo and the excellence of the Xcaret group

The best service you will find in Cancun. - Our vacation was marred by several factors and we were not having a great time what to say, but these people arranged our vacation. I have to say that we received an excellent service from the moment we got on the bus until we got off. I cannot close this review without thanking and mentioning our Guide SARAI and our Captain Rogelio, they gave us a high treatment; worthy of kings. My wife and I are extremely pleased and recommend this Attraction to anyone without thinking. Thank you.

Trip to Chichén Itzá and cenote. - We had a wonderful time on this trip. Especially stopping at the cenote and lunch. Our tour guide gorge ramos was a fun and friendly tour guide who taught us about Chichén Itzá and a lot more. We were given an umbrella and bottle for our adventure(you get to keep the bottle) and we got a guided tour for around forty five minutes before we were allowed to go around by ourselves. The cenote was a nice place to stop as it was a hot day and the water was very cooling. Thank you to our driver Ramos (Ramos?) we 100% recommend this trip.

I would recommend to everyone, it was the highlight of visiting Mexico. - Everything about this tour was amazing. The biggest reason for this is because of our tour guides and driver, Mario Kart, Mario Bros, and Luigi (Santos). Mario kept switching between English and Spanish in a way that was easy to follow along. He explained everything very clearly, and was educational. The added humour every so often also kept it entertaining. At Chichén Itzá they gave everyone full water bottles and lanyards to keep around your neck, and optional umbrellas for the heat. They also provided earphones to hear the guide easily. The English speaking group was led by Santos. He was clearly passionate about his own Mayan culture, which made it more interesting to listen to the history of the site. On the bus they gave us breakfast before we got there, and after they gave us drinks and were generous with the amount. The cenote was cooling and they gave us plenty of time to swim in it, and probided the life jackets free. Valladoid was beautiful, and the food there for lunch is high quality. You have time to look around after eating. On the way back to the hotel, they allowed us time to just sit and rest from the day. They provided more drinks and Mexican candy. The many stalls around Chichén Itzá do call out to you as you pass to try and sell souvenirs, and will start of expensive but will go down a lot. (e.g. a fridge magnet quickly went from $40 to $5). Also I would suggest to prepare some questions for the tour guide, as they all seem passionate.

Great all day adventure! - Fantastic day! The staff was entertaining. The sites were beautiful and the lunch was delicious. Also the transportation is comfortable with usb ports.

Amazing tour!! - This tour was absolutely incredible. From our bus driver Felix to our tour guides Rodrigo and Arturo, we couldn't have been happier. It was a very early start and long day (mostly due to the distance of our resort to the Yucatan), but they kept us engaged, entertained, and educated us about the history all along the way. Everything was included in the price, from the meals to life jackets, water bottles, entry fees, etc. They even passed out sun umbrellas at Chichen Itza to protect us from the heat and headsets to hear the tour guide there (it can be quite noisy because of the many tour groups). During our tour there, we had the opportunity to see the pyramid, ball court, look at the sun through obsidian, examine relics, and shop for handcrafted goods. We then went to swim in a cenote, which was refreshing and beautiful. After swimming, we visited Valladolid where we had a delicious lunch and time for shopping. We loved this tour and our guides were incredible!

Good experience, long and tiresome too - The day started in Old Navy shopping Playa del Carmen, there Alex was waiting to take us by bus to Xel Ha to make the bus change. On that first bus, Alex dropped his microphone twice on top of my husband, which left a wound on his right ankle. When making the bus change, the new bus was large and full. Edward the Guide made every effort to make the journey optimal. The thing is that it took a long time to give us breakfast, and this one was squalid, nothing more than a medium sandwich, a quequito and a small juice. Then he talked a lot, everyone wanted to sleep and he talked and talked, that didn't seem right. The first stop was the cenote, good thing there was a cafeteria and we could have a good breakfast, then we went down to the cenote. As a start, they charge you the locker, which in my opinion should be included considering the value of the tour. Once you come down, it’s full, people throw boobies in the water, bustle, and nobody tells you anything, so for real nature lovers it’s not the ideal place. Plus there were people smoking cigars right there. However the cenote is beautiful and we enjoy it. Don't forget to bring your own towels and slippers. Then we went to Xichen Itza, the truth was incredible the tour of Santos, he is a Guide of Mayan origin and we learned a lot with him, it was very complete, almost an hour of learning. Finally we were given a free hour where you can go through what you liked best and take pictures. I really give 10/10 to the tour inside the archaeological site. The last stop is Valladolid in an open buffet restaurant. The problem is that the bus parked far away and there was so much rain that the village was flooded and it was disgusting to walk through those black water streets, my sandals were completely damaged. I think the bus could have been more diligent in that regard, let us get off closer and then go park. The food was delicious! The best pig of my life! Finally we returned in two buses to the place where everything started in Playa del Carmen
