Must do shore excursion activity in Cozumel - I am so glad I did this tour at Stingray beach at Cozumel. I had 5 adults and 2 children in my party when I booked the chocolate workshop and wine tasting tour, someone from the tour contacted me to tell me that children are not allowed because of the alcohol they serve but offered us the chocolate and pinata tour. Before I took up the new tour offered, they offered us a private tour for just my group for the chocolate and wine tasting at no additional cost. My group was the only people in the tour. Vanessa and Jasna were amazing. Vanessa started with explaining the history of chocolate and then went step by step with chocolate making and then pairing wine with chocolate. I was so glad to have my 3 yr old make chocolate with me. He enjoyed it thoroughly. When the 1.5 yr old in our party wanted some milk, Jasna made chocolate milk for which he cherished. Overall, it was an amazing experience. The room in which the tour is conducted is air conditioned, welcome relief from the heat and has beautiful views of the beach.

Chocolate Lover’s Paradise! - We had an amazing experience with our chocolate guide Wendy. It was fascinating to learn the history of how the chocolate we all know and love came to be, especially how it relates to ancient Mayan culture. It was truly an organic and captivating presentation. Afterwards, we all got to make our very own fresh chocolate bars which was a lot of fun and surprisingly easy! We finished off our tour tasting a variety of different locally made chocolates and sipping some fine Mexican wines. If you call yourself a chocolate lover and you find yourself in Cozumel, you can’t pass this up!

Different reason to visit Cozumel - Most folks when visiting Cozumel tend to lean towards booking beach/water related tours. This one was out of the norm and surprisingly enjoyable. We had a small audience with a pleasant and very informative instructor named Wendy. First, she provided us with a detailed step by step in making chocolate from scratch, and gave us a thorough background on its origination. Afterwards we actually got to make chocolate, and while it was being cooled, we got to experience matching and tasting different chocolates with more than one kind of wine. The whole experience just needed a bit more of spicing up a bit, otherwise, I would recommend it.

Fun time, stingrays are cute and chocolate experience was fun but nickel and dimed for a lot - Had a fun time! I love stingrays and it was great but it was somewhat short time. It was only 30 min with the rays and we got to pet and hold them a bit. Then it was a guided 30 minute snorkeling tour around a fenced off area. The guides were nice, but it was a short time. I love stingrays so to me it was worth it. Expect to be nickel and dimed for it all. The food was really good afterwards (not included). We also did the chocolate tasting and workshop which was super great time. It was cool to learn about chocolate and actually make your own! Glad I did it, prob wouldn’t do it again though.
