Great Day in a Dune Buggy! - We had a great day with Hugo in a dune buggy. He offered the first complimentary cerveza before we left the parking lot and took us to a hidden place in town, where we saw some Mayan tribal dancers and enjoyed ample tequila samples. Then we went down to the south end of the island, where we dipped in the water near the surf school. Across the road, a giant crocodile was sunning. We stopped for lunch at their dining partner's, bought some hand-crafted jewelry and were serenaded by some mariachis. He drove us by the national park with the lighthouse and suggested that we plan an entire day there next time. A drive up the west side and all of the beach resorts took us back to our ship, right on our schedule.
