Excellent Island Tour - Taz & Gerardo were both excellent guides! Very friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy & it was budget friendly!
They both made our tours excellent, even though the weather wasn’t great one day…we had a great time!

Private tour for 2 - Our day started with Gerardo picking us up right on time at the cruise port. We had an idea of the places we wanted to see during our 4-hour block, and he quickly pulled out a map to show us the route. Up first the KaoKao Chocolate Factory. What a treat! We paid for the factory tour once at the location $10pp USD. It included tasting all 26 flavors they make on site. The staff were just lovely! Then we were off to the Mayan Ruins. Again, we paid for entry $14pp USD, but not the additional tour guide person they offered. It was so hot we chose to walk the area because we didn’t know how long we would last. Vendors were a bit pushy here, repeating “no thank you” will serve you well here. Up next was the Mayan Bee Sanctuary. My daughter was excited for this place, unfortunately, they only had one tour guide on this day, and they already had a group, so the wait was going to be 30-40 minutes, and they do not let you walk around unsupervised. They have a great shop though (take all my money 😊) Gerardo suggested we head to the beach and maybe get lunch, so off we went! What a super way to end the day. The food was fantastic, but spendy, however, we couldn’t have asked for a better view. The GEM of the day was Gerardo!! The limitless amount of knowledge he shared shows how proud he is of his home. The van had AC on blast. A cooler full of water was a plus. Thank you for this day. We will remember it fondly.

Memorable Experience! - We had such an amazing time with Kor and Taz Miranda our tour guides. They were outstanding and took us everywhere we wanted to go! They answered all of our questions, shared some island history and took photos for us. We had chicken enchiladas for lunch. It was delicious. Kor and Taz deserve recognition for a well thought out and planned tour. The island is awesome, beautiful beaches. Highly recommend Viator! Thank you for such a memorable experience! VT

See what you want in comfort! - We had a great time! Jenny was very flexible with our requests. We highly recommend having your own car to tour the island. It's well worth it.

Excellent experience with Taz - This was a great experience with our tour guide Taz. He was on time at our hotel, in a new car with AC and a cooler full of water and drinks. He worked with us to plan a perfect itinerary.
We started at San Gervasio for the Mayan ruins, and hired Ivan to show us around, who was cheesy but funny and explained all about the site and how the Mayans incorporated their beliefs and science into the structures.
Then Taz took us on a tour of the east coast of Cozumel and stopped at a few different beach clubs to get drinks and pictures. We saw everything from perfect white sandy beaches, cool rocky shores, surfers and snorkelers, and the bluest water.
A couple the clubs we only stayed at for a very short time, dipping our toes in the ocean, and didn't even have drinks, but it was no problem. Taz was happy to let us spend as much or as little time as each place as we wanted. He seems to know everyone at every club and we never had to wait in line.
Taz was wondeful the whole time, talking about the history of Cozumel and asking questions to engage us. His English is great, though he was happy to help us with Spanish. He's very friendly but not pushy and really tailored everything to us.
We ended up at the Skyreef Beach Club for snorkeling, which was fantastic. We were at the end of our time, so Taz recommended that we stay there as long as we want and take a taxi back, and he told us who to call and what the rate would be, which was perfect.
The only issue I had was that I didn't bring enough cash, as many of the places don't take credit cards. But Taz helped us out with that, finding a hotel with an ATM.
This was one of the best tour experiences that my wife and I have ever had. Muchas Gracias Taz!

Excellent and reliable service made for an amazing afternoon! - We had an excellent afternoon as we toured San Gervasio ruins and enjoyed lunch in the eastern side of the island. Booking the activity was super easy and the owner made it easy to coordinate pickup from our hotel. Our driver George was knowledgeable and easy going. I highly recommend this service. You can plan you day how ever you’d like.

Cultural highlights - We did a week of scuba and were ready for some history and culture. Nathaliel, our tour guide and driver, was the highlight of the tour with all the greatest facts and information about local culture and history. Loved the Mayan ruins at San Gervasio, but the Otoch and Coconuts bar stops were a little too touristy for us. We enjoyed the sun god ceremony, cochinita pibil tacos, honey and chocolate tastings at Otoch, but felt the tips requested at every activity a little disruptive which is not the fault of the private tour with Nathaliel. They should just include the tips in the price of admission or at the very end as an option so participants aren’t approached with an empty coconut for collections at every turn. Coconuts bar has a view worthy of a visit, but we don’t really drink so the $14 virgin piña colada was unnecessary. Really enjoyed Nathaliel taking us around the island and showing us the turtle nesting spots, crocodiles in the lagoon, and the beaches for locals and talking about the natural beauty of the island they’re trying to preserve for future generations, a battle the locals are slowly losing. The attractions are up to you on this tour so make sure you do your research and let the guide know what you’re most interested in. Overall a great experience.

Basically an expensive driver. Caution for recommendations - Essentially got a driver that was expensive. Driver was kind and nice but eventually in the options for beaches took us to a very expensive subpar beach not only with an expensive entry fee ( he did disclose that to us) and sold it as a very nice beach. The price of food and drinks was very expensive so didn’t spend much time there. Driver appeared to know the staff/owners of the beach so appeared to be more of a expected referral than really providing a good option for a beach with reasonable price for entry, food and drinks.
