Great experience learning about life on the ranch in Mexico - I have been to Cozumel many, many times, so I was looking for an experience/excursion that was off the beaten path, so to speak. This was a great way to spend part of our day.

Amazing Experience! Will always treasure it! - Amazing experience!!! We had a wonderful time touring the farm, tasting numerous local foods, preparing appetizers, and eating an authentic meal. If you want to get a taste of the local culture, this is the excursion for you! They all spoke English very well. Everyone treated us like their royal guests. Even the driver was super friendly and answered all of our questions about local culture. In fact, the driver volunteered to go back to get our bag and return it to us when we realized we left it at the farm. Don't miss the full farm experience!

Unique Fun in Cozumel!! - We followed the easy instructions given to us by Viator when our Princess cruise docked in Cozumel and found our very friendly driver, Frank waiting for us exactly as planned. It was a short scenic drive to meet Carlos and his family at their small farm. Carlos took us on a very informative short walking tour of the farm and explained the history, growing and harvesting of many local plants, fruits and vegetables. We learned about how tequila is made and many plants used to infuse the tequila with flavors. We heard many interesting stories and folklore from Carlos and were able to taste different fruits/vegetables. We also toured the “native outdoor kitchen” where handmade tortillas, roasted tomatoes, roasted peppers were cooked to help us prepare the most delicious dishes including homemade guacamole! We enjoyed some delicious tequila and cocoanut drinks with our lunch which Carlos helped us prepare. We spent about 3-1/2 hours at the farm and could have definitely stayed longer as it was so interesting. Carlos and his family were wonderful hosts and even offered walking sticks and chairs during the tour for our “not so mobile” companions. After the tour, Frank picked us back up and returned us to our ship with time to spare to look in some shops as we made our way to our ship. We would highly recommend this to anyone who would like to do something a little more unique, and off of the beaten path rather than book a typical shore excursion through the cruise line.

Loved the farm and the tequila. - We loved touring this family farm, learning all about the many species of trees and fruit growing on the property. The lunch and tequila were fantastic. There wasn't very much cooking involved, but that was fine. It was a very different experience from other things we did in Cozumel and everyone in our group commented that we would recommend it to others. Thanks Carlos for sharing your knowledge and fun time with us!

Food excursions are the best! - Such a unique experience! We drove out to a family farm and listened to one of the son's talk about their farm, their plants, animals, history, etc. This is a great tour for gardeners and anyone interested in plants and cultivation. The horchata was amazing!! We're inspired now to try and make our own. There made us another delicious homemade juice (made from Sapote) and tequila tasting (nothing like US tequila! It was much better and smoother). They had us make 2 appetizers (guacamole and a bean dip: both great) and then they made us a Sopes dish (as much as we wanted) in their outdoor cooking area. We love any kind of food tour and this definitely hit the spot!

Bad service - Our excursion was canceled very last minute for weather. We had already booked our taxi to the city and ferry tickets. We were boarding when they called. Obviously nothing to be done about weather but a sooner heads up would have saved us a few hundred dollars 😕

Don't waste money on this tour - It's not a farm to table tour. Was pickup in old jeep and taken to a fruit farm. Was told about fruit trees and tasted fruit juice. Then he made guacamole for us. Don't waste money on this tour.
