Good tour. - Joel and David were our tour guides, both did good but Joel did specially great as I had two people not to skilled for the ocean/snorkeling, he was patient and helpful.
They did not arrive on time, we started almost an hour later. Good overall.

This was an awesome experience! - I was a little apprehensive because there weren't a lot of reviews. They called beforehand to make sure we knew were to show up and the boat was of good quality with shade for the people that didn´t want to get in the ocean. They were very attentive and catered to us, adjusting locations and duration at each site to our needs.
We always had a guide who came into the water with us when we were snorkeling. Our guide was awesome! He took pictures for us and found marine animals hat we otherwise would have missed. We felt very safe with them during our trip. Wish I had photos to share but I still haven't downloaded them from my GoPro.

So much better than a tour! - Manuel and Enrique were excellent! They zoomed us past the crowds to perfect snorkel spots. We swam along the reef and saw a ton of fish, rays, and star fish. If you really love snorkeling, this is for you.

Nothing special and they drank my tequila.... - The weather wasn't the greatest the day we were there which was January 5, 2018 but I can't blame them for that. We found the place to meet where Ricardo met us and led us to the pier. There were 2 boats for our group of 21. In my emails I had specified that we wanted to be together as 1 group so that was disappointing. These boats are nothing special. The pictures on the website show a catamaran. Think more fiberglass shell with seats and nothing more. The 2 captains on our boat were nice. Only 1, however, spoke English. On the other boat, neither of the captains spoke English. The website says that the tour guides all speak fluent English. We were given delicious chips, guacamole, and beer/tequila/soda. On our other boat, they were given the snacks, but the 2 captains drank the alcohol and never offered any to my family. The tour was shorter than I thought--although that could also have been from the weather. The snorkeling was good. I emailed the company to complain particularly about the captains drinking the alcohol but like many of the other reviews on here, have not heard back. So to summarize, if you want the cheapest snorkel trip ever with no frills, don't care if your captain can speak English, and are ok with the guides drinking the beer/tequila that you paid for, then this is the trip for you.

Non-existent boat. - When we arrived at the designated marina to begin our private snorkelling tour, we could not find any sign of our tour company - Cozumel Tours Excursions. I asked a lady who worked for other such companies for directions.
She was happy to help and asked for the name of our boat. We checked our booking; we had no boat name. She asked for the company name; she had not heard of it. We were now worried that we had been scammed.
She asked for a phone number for the company, we found it and she called it and had a long chat with the man on the other end in Spanish.
She then handed me her phone. The man said that he was at a different boarding point - somewhere called Monkey Beach and told me that we should get a taxi to him. We had already taken 2 taxis and a ferry to get to the agreed rendezvous at Caleta Marina. I was not happy. Then he explained that we would also have to share our boat. We had paid a premium price for sole use. We would not have gone on a group booking at any price as my wife burns easily and we wanted the flexibility of curtailing the tour, if necessary.
I told him this was not acceptable and he asked to be handed back to the kind lady whose phone we were still using. She agreed to take over our booking and, in 30 minutes organised for a new boat, a skipper, and a snorkel guide, together with cold beers, wonderful Ceviche and fabulous tropical fruit. Annoyingly, I did not get her name or her company, as I would gladly recommend that trip.
So my advice, ensure you get a boat name more than 24 hours before the trip, if not, you should cancel for a full refund. Interestingly, when we arrived on Cozumel by ferry, there were dozens of hawkers trying to sell snorkel tours. If you can’t get an online booking, you could always try one of them. It can’t be much worse than our experience!
