Chocolate making demonstration by Paty. - Thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate making demonstration presented by Paty. She was expert in her knowledge and presentation skill. Great sense of humor and wonderful personality - very charming. She would do well in a bigger role like Disney World.

Great family activity for chocolate lovers! - My children, ages 12 and 10, loved this workshop! Eduardo was so knowledgeable and guided us through the process of making our own personal chocolate bars. We ground the nibs into a paste, and he let us personalize our chocolate with the additional ingredients (e.g., coconut, chipotle pepper, amount of sugar, etc). The gallery was fantastic and very educational, along with seeing a few cacao trees trying to grow. The handmade tortillas with pumpkin seed & cilantro was an added bonus. While we didn't opt in for the Margarita workshop, my husband and I were able to purchase our choice of chocolate drink at the end. If you want a quick excursion (1 hour), this is a great option!

Making chocolate in Cozumel - This was a fun experience. You start with a little Mayan history, taste a traditional Mayan taco, then learn to make your very own chocolate bar. Beware because this is sensory overload but in the best kind of way!

Chocolate, history, and parrots! - Such an incredible and educational experience - Paty gave such an awesome presentation about the history, benefits, uses and recipes of the cacao beans that they grow and cultivate there. I purchased a lot of different flavors, but also got a package of their shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the honey scent and it feels so good on my sensitive, sunburnt skin with a gentle, lovely smell. Don’t forget to visit their rescue parrots!

It was a wonderful trip that I will repeat in November 2024. - The Mayan Cacao Company is a fascinating place to discover the secrets of chocolate making. As an excursion on a Disney cruise, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of cocoa and learn more about the history, cultivation and processing of cocoa. Our guide led us through the facility, first talking about the time of the Mayans and how they used cocoa, which was also accompanied by a very interesting video. Then we passed various plants that are important for cocoa processing. You could have your photo taken and then we went to the chocolate production, where you could also taste it. Afterwards you could buy various drinks with cocoa at the bar or buy chocolate in the shop, which is very high quality. After that we visited the Bee Sanctuary and the Tequilaria.

A sweet treat of an experience - We visited The Mayan Cacao Company during a cruise stop in Cozumel. Our tour guide, Paty, was very kind, informative and engaging with both parents and kids. She was very knowledgeable, sharing fun anecdotes and answering questions along the way. The kids, ages 5 and 11, both enjoyed making (and of course eating) their own chocolate and we all enjoyed learning about the ancient Mayan culture and traditions. We loved the experience and would highly recommend a stop on your next vacation. Thank you, Paty!

Private tour with Patty - We got a private tour with Patty and it was fabulous and delicious! Just my hubby and I. VERY interesting the history of cacao. Patty made us a sample of it. VERY tasty! We then got 2 drinks at the bar - a chocolate daiquiri and a chocolate mudslide. BOTH were delicious. We then got to try samples of the candy bars and were able to pick out our favorites. We had to buy more on the way out of town since they make perfect gifts! Highly recommended. Very relaxing area. Fun gifts.
