A Great was to Spend the Day. - We were staying in Playa and wanted to explore Cozumel without driving, San Miguel can be crazy when the cruise ships are in.. I found this tour on Trip Advisor. Taz met us under the clock tower and brought us to his taxi. The first stop was the chocolate factory. During the tour we got a lot of free samples of different types of chocolate and learned about the process. We would have liked to buy some chocolate from them but the chocolate would have melted in the taxi. Our next stop was Otoch Maya Experience. Some of our group made tortillas. We had great tacos, sampled good tequila and took in the Maya ceremony. We finished at Punta Morena with drinks and lunch. The food is good and the beach is beautiful. Taz was a great tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and also funny.

I can't understand why we had to wear... -
I can't understand why we had to wear smart dress as this was a casual tour. Loved the Mayan village but unsure where the flavours came in. Cost was too high.

The only good thing, the driver... -
The only good thing, the driver responsible for my transportation, who tried at all times to please me. Other than that, this tour is a real heist ... the price is too high for what the tour offers. Qualitywise
It all began with the chocolate experience, which consisted on tasting three types of chocolate after a simple explanation of the existing flavors, then I was taken to the store so I could buy some chocolate didnt . All this took me 20 minutes. The chocolate place was in the middle of nowhere and had no charm at all.
Then they took me to a roadside stop, similar to a gas station in the middle of the main road that crosses the island. Here the experience of tequila was taken place, again, this was another scam where you get to try several tequilas and tequila liqueurs on plastic cups with the only purpouse of selling you as many bottles as they can!
The truth is that by then I was pretty disappointed and angry...it was so hot ... it would have been a nice touch to offer me a bottle of water.
I was willing to arrive to the beach, finally we got to the Sky Reef ... nice place built in wood, located next to the water, good views and crystal clear water.
As part of the tour I was offered a chicken dish and a drink, tasty but sparse. I was offered snorkel, but after eating I did not really wanted to, preferred to relax for a while, which is why the driver offered me to go to a place called Arcoiris, and I accepted... big mistake! An old place, which seemed to be a house that someone has committed to a beach club, furniture and antique decor, or rather old, the pool completely surrounded by a white metal fence, seemed a birdcage! and a mini sandy beach front ... the place looked more like a brothel than anything else. No doubt he would have rather stayed in the Sky Reef.
In resume, I do not recommend this tour in any way, there is sure best ways to experience Cozumel and the flavors of Mexico. You better contract a taxi driver and go anywhere you like.
