It was an experience. Try it for yourself. - Went there with my wife and friends. We got the basic package (transportation and admission) but upgraded to the food and drinks package when we got there. The food was delicious and had a wide variety from fajita meat to pasta to hot dogs. The open bar was okay. Don't think you will drink your money's worth in [alcoholic] drinks, they are watered down. The food was the highlight for me and the slide/pool area (less people). All the other areas were crowded. In my picture, that was after a cruise ship left, but before that, there weren't many places to sit. Our excursion was pushed back (by them) and by the time we got there, it was packed. I am on the fence on whether or not we would go back as there other excursions, but it was still a nice time.

Great Day Resort Location - Attentive wait staff. Plenty of loungers and umbrellas. Food was a good variety and flavors. Entire family had a great time.

Okay - needs updated. - We did a RC cruise and originally had arranged for a private charter. However due to tropical storm Alberto, we had to cancel our charter and needed something else. We chose Playa Mia as we thought even in less than ideal conditions, a beach would be a good option. When we got to he excursion meeting point, the host quickly told us that due to ocean conditions, there would be no inflatables or water activities. He told us if we were not okay with that, we would need to go back to the boat and change our activity. As Royal Carribbean does not do refunds the day of and other excursions were already leaving, we really did not feel like we had a choice other than to go with Playa Mia. The host had us sign that we understood we were going without those options. The property was okay. It is definetly dated and could use some updating from the pools to the plastic beach chairs. I could see where at one point was likley a wonderful destination. We had unlimited drinks but the drinks were not all that great - in fact some were flat out gross. The buffett lunch was okay - others in my party ate it but I did not after watching people avoiding the tongs and grabbing food with their hands. We made the most of our day sitting out by the beach. It was still a good day - we tend to be optimists. They did have good staff service on the beach. The attendants helping us were very attentive and tried hard to make our day enjoyable. I also did a beach massage and that was good. While it was okay, I would not go here again. I would instead try another beach club.

Hopefully bc of Hurricane Beryl - Maybe because of Hurricane Beryl, but the water was brown and it smelled. Women would HOUND you endlessly and ask you if you want a massage or facial. Umm no thanks! I’m sweaty and sandy. I don’t want anyone touching me! Food wasn’t covered so flys would land on the food.

Overcrowded - Overcrowded. Unable to rent umbrella. So crowded couldn't even see the ocean. Sand near impossible to trudge thru so deep.

Terrible - I didn’t enjoy the beach after paying over a hundred dollars everything that was fun to do was shut down and not operating. They didn’t offer any money back or a rain check.

Bad experience. Cheating. - Place is ugly, old, bad food, disappointing inflatables, small and old toboggan. Nothing like what appears in the pictures. Vc rent a buggy to know the island and stop at the Moneys Bar as we did last time in 2019 and cheaper is much better.

Don’t Go - Don’t Go!!! They aren’t open when you arrive, and aren’t set up when they do. The water was stirred up from the jet ski /lifeguard, so no clear water for snorkeling. You look to the left and right down the beach and they have large inflatables, but the playa Mia staff says they don’t have many of theirs do to climate change!?!? The pictures are deceptive. Flies everywhere which could be solved by large fans, and the drinks are watered down to the extreme, even the draft beer. My kids were very disappointed, and ready to leave in under an hour. Also the slides at the pool, one was shut down. It’s a trap, you would have more fun and better food at others. Beware, and the staff doesn’t care

Not what you see in the pictures online - While the pictures look beautiful on the website, this resort seemed old and offered poor quality on everything. It did not match the pictures. The Water obstacle course was so small and offered maybe a quarter of what is shown in pictures. My kids were so disappointed especially since the resort next door had so much more and was cleaner. They were suppose to offer a breakfast and lunch buffet in the cost and there was no breakfast served that day. The lunch buffet was poor quality, over cooked food. They had faijta meat with no tortillas and low quality hot dogs. The fish was tasty. They did have a nice kids pool and the waiters on the beach were good. I can not recommend anyone waste their money. The neighboring resorts looked far better when we walked down to them.
