Review - This is a trip that requires people who aren't afraid to have a little action and be adventurous on the trip. The caves were amazing and don't b afraid to get wet. The zipline, biking, and rappelling were also fun! David S was an excellent tour guide. I highly suggest you get him!

We Got Engaged! - She said yes! I booked a private tour at Rio Secreto, and I couldn’t be happier with our experience. Pepe, Hector, and the entire staff were incredible to work with. Everyone was super accommodating and made our special day one to remember forever. I can’t thank Pepe and Hector enough; they absolutely crushed it!! If you’re going to propose, pay the extra to book a private tour. It’s worth every penny not having a ton of strangers around.

A fulfilling experience - We had an unforgettable experience thanks to our guide, Miguel. Full of knowledge, passion, and a comedian all in one. As for the cave system, you have to see it for yourself to understand why it's so special.

Rio secreto plus - My husband and I traveled from Cozumel via ferry to get to the Rio Secreto plus tour. Our tour guide was Gustavo and he was the best! We had English and Spanish speakers in our group of 11 and he did an amazing job at translating for both as we went through our adventure. He was very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. The tour starts where you hop in a van where they take you to the starting area. You go hiking and then come back to change into the wetsuit. You have to rinse off in the open area shower then put your wetsuit, helmet, and life jacket/vest. You go into the cave and have an awesome time swimming, going under stalactites, and learning about the cave systems. It was so much fun! Once we were done we returned our life jacket/vest and it was time for biking. You get a bike and then head to the rappelling area. You get instructions and rappel down. Then you bike back to return you wet suit and change back into your clothes. During the whole tour we had Pablo taking pictures of us. The pictures were amazing! Just be prepared to pay over $100 for the package. I believe for 1 picture it was $30. We had lunch after this and the buffet was delicious. Cochinita pibil was my favorite. We had such a great time and I would definitely recommend this tour. Gustavo, Pablo and the 3rd person that I can't remember the name of did such an awesome job. This is one of my favorite tours so far. I just wish the pictures weren't that expensive or at least include one picture for the memories.

Book it! - One of the best excursions I’ve ever had! Fer B, our guide, was fantastic. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the cave system and Mayan culture. He was very friendly, personable and safety conscientious. We repelled into the first cave. What an amazing experience! Ive been spelunking numerous times, but never in a wet cave; and the difference is notable. You really feel like you are immersed in the cave. It was a full day excursion and the time flew by. The beauty we saw is indescribable. It’s also the perfect way to beat the Mexico heat. I can’t recommend Fer and this excursion enough. Don’t think about it, just book it!

Something fun to do! - Our family of 4 enjoyed the Rio Secreto Plus tour. We booked through Nexus at our hotel and were picked up at the hotel lobby at 9:30am. We arrived to the entrance around 10:30am, signed waivers and got into another van to drive another 15 minutes to the activity area. We dropped our stuff into lockers and were equipped with helmets. Our guide Fernando was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, patient and supportive. We were put into a group of 12 and some opted out of the bike ride portion and were driven instead. The bike ride was bumpy but fun! We did one repelling session down into a cave and felt very safe the entire time. We went back to the locker area on bike where we got into our swimsuits, water shoes and wetsuits (they provided the shoes and wetsuits for us to use). We swapped our helmets for ones with flashlights and headed down into the cenotes. This was by far our favourite part of the excursion. The caves were very cool and it was fun to hike and swim inside. We were glad we opted for the wetsuits as the water was chilly. When we turned out the lights, it was so dark and the kids loved it! What an experience! Our lunch happened at the end of the activities which ended up being around 4pm. We got back to the hotel around 5:45 so it was a full day excursion. Overall it was a fun day!
