Tons of Fun - Excellent tour but they don't let you take any of your own photos or videos as they want to sell you theirs for $130. It is worth going to but you just have to remember the good time you had unless you want to spend way too much money on photos.

Naomi - the heart and soul of Rio Secreto - Our unforgettable adventure at Rio Secreto in Cancun, Mexico, was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the phenomenal Naomi, our tour guide. I would gladly book another flight from Canada just to have her guide me through the remaining 43 kilometers of this stunning underground world. The day began with excitement and a little trepidation on my part. A cave adventure? With water? In the dark? And me, a proud non-swimmer? I wasn’t sure I was ready, but curiosity won out. Upon entering the cave, I quickly realized this was no casual stroll. It was dark so dark it felt like the universe forgot to pay the electricity bill. Bats fluttered overhead, and catfish darted through the crystal-clear waters. I clung to my life jacket, convinced this was how people ended up in dramatic survival stories. Thankfully, Naomi noticed my apprehension and stepped in with the kind of calm, patient energy reserved for saints and exceptional tour guides. With a warm smile, she reassured me and promised to guide me along a safer route. While the rest of the group swam through underwater tunnels and ducked under stalactites, Naomi led me through a more comfortable path, making sure I didn’t miss out on the magic of Rio Secreto. One unforgettable moment came when Naomi gathered us in a circle, waist-deep in water, and asked us to turn off our headlamps to embrace the pitch darkness. I thought I’d already experienced darkness, but this was next-level. Naomi’s voice was grounding as she encouraged us to reflect in that space. Despite my initial fear, I found myself embracing the peace and mystery of the cave. Emerging into the sunlight felt like a victory. Naomi handed us ceremonial shots to celebrate surviving the experience, and I toasted to her brilliance. Her empathy, expertise, and ability to connect made what could have been a terrifying experience into a transformative, joyful adventure. Naomi is not just a tour guide she’s the heart and soul of Rio Secreto. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Cancun just to have her lead me through more of that breathtaking underground world. Thank you, Naomi, for creating memories I’ll treasure forever!

If you can it's a must. - Really a unique experience to go as a family of teenagers. A grotto in total darkness. I swim for several dozen meters. It was worth it!!

Great value for money, SO close to PDC! - This is a MUST do! Well run, great staff (José Luis was an excellent guide!) and fantastic caves and experience. It's worth it to pay for a photo or two as no cameras are allowed in the caves. The food post-adventure was nice. We preferred this tour rather than the Mayan Adventure tour.

The Rio Secreto tour is well worth your money - Rio Secreto (RS) was well worth the money because our tour guide (Miguel) made it so much fun. The caves are awesome. This is why you come to RS. They provide wetsuits, helmets, and life jackets so you don't get cold in the water or hit your head. It was very safe and this cave system is beautiful! Next we did biking, zip lines, and rappelling. My 8 year old is in the third percentile for weight, and has to work a little harder at physical things like keeping up on bike rides. Miguel showed others where to go and then hung back to my little guy and kept encouraging my kid to keep going while making Mission Impossible music. At the end of the tour there was a buffet with pastas, meats, beans, chips, and vegetables. The tour group concluded with shots of this delicious Mayan liquor. I would highly recommend this tour.

River cave amazing but skip the zips - Wonderful activity and unlike anything you’ve ever done before unless you were able to swim through a cave full of stalagmites! Only thing to know is if you’ve done zip lines you do not need to do the P lus tour as you do NOT rappel into the cave river. They changed it to a dry cave that’s far less exciting but did not update any photos. This feels deceiving and was disappointing.

Better excursions available - This underground river tour was one of our least favorite excursions in this area. The walk area is dangerous and you can't focus on the beauty of the cave formations because you have your concentration on walking without hitting huge rocks from your feet to the top of your head. I much rather go to one of the beautiful cenote in the area.

Terrible Exhortation for Photos - The cave itself and the tour guide / camera people were awesome. However, the company is a complete scam artist. They charge $30 USD per photo, or $130 for all the photos. Never again. Go to cheaper and less scummy place like Sac Actun!

Lack of tracking to reimbursement - Last December I made a reservation. Because of health issues that made it impossible for me to take the tour that I was very excited to meet. I requested cancellation and refund, I was told that it was possible but I would have a penalty for the time I performed it. I had no problem with it, although it's not my fault getting sick understood the situation. I was also told that the process would take about 1 month. Now I have to wait 3 months for my refund, stop me too long. The staff doesn’t give me a solution, they just comment on a date and when the day comes I still don’t have my refund and it’s frustrating. I hope I can have it before the following September as I see the situation :(
