A great day of discovery - I highly recommend this excellent adventure! For the entire tour, we had a fantastic guide who was very fun but also very knowledgeable. The Rio Secreto portion was fascinating and beautiful. We did the Rio Secreto first, then took a short drive to see the Tulum ruins which were amazing. It was a wonderful and I would highly recommend it!

Best tour experience had in Mexico! - Really cool experience! More swimming underground than I expected. Kids 10 and 11 had a great time, even though they were a bit scared at first. Aaron was an awesome guide and was super kind to them. Food was good too. Only complaint is $30 for a single photo/ $120 for the set.

Incredible Experience for All Ages! - We were a group of 14, including 6 kids and 4 seniors, and I initially worried about how the seniors would handle the caves. To my delight, everyone managed it beautifully, thanks to the incredible guidance and support of Omar, our driver and tour guide.
The journey began at the Tulum ruins, where we were treated to breathtaking views and fascinating historical insights. The highlight, however, was Rio Secreto. This adventure was truly unique, with parts of the cave requiring us to swim through crystal-clear waters—some as deep as shoulder height! While most of the paths were underwater, there were dry sections as well, making it accessible for all fitness levels. The final stretch involved swimming through deeper waters, which added an exciting challenge.
Our 5-year-old found the darkness a bit intimidating at times, but the headlamps provided made everything manageable and safe. The guides were incredibly attentive, ensuring we navigated the tighter paths with ease and comfort. This was a family-friendly experience that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking adventure, natural beauty, and a bit of history.
Pro Tips:
• The professional photos offered at the end are quite pricey. If you’re traveling in a group, splitting the cost can help make it more affordable.
• Be sure to negotiate for any extras if you can.
Overall, this was an unforgettable day filled with wonder and excitement. It’s a must-do for families and adventurers alike!

Phenomenal - Imelda was our tour guide and she was fabulous! She is very passionate about her (the Mayan) culture and it shows. The cenote portion of the tour was phenomenal and I would do it again in a minute. The Tulum portion is a fair amount of walking and gets warm in the full sun. The ruins are very interesting though. All in all a great day with a great guide.

Incredible experience/NOT to be missed! - Everything about this tour was special. The tour provides what you need at every step of the way making you feel comfortable. Our guide was Tainara; she was informed and friendly. She had such a breath of knowledge of Rio secreto, and tulum (the Mayan history). I don’t know if you can request her, but if you can, I would. While there is a lot of travel and organization involved, the company has it all covered & Tainara was accommodating at every turn. Rio secreto is probably like nothing you’ve ever done before. You get a wet suit, water shoes, a helmet with a light, a walking stick…all to help you manage the terrain. There is a good amount of uneven ground and walking so be aware of that ahead of time. The caves were like a different world. Crazy beautiful. Tainara was a wealth of geological and historical knowledge. She was also helpful to those of us in the group who needed some physical assistance. In tulum, Tainara was also great. She was clear and very informed about Mayan history & culture. I think she has been at this for a number of years and really knows the facts. Tulum and the crystal blue/green water leaves you stunned. It’s a magnificent setting. Wish we had a bit more free time in tulum.

Rent a car and go yourself - The places themselves are awesome. We would highly recommend visiting both Rio Secreto and Tulum.
Rio Secreto is an amazing once In a lifetime experience, it's definitely a go.
However, the organization of this experience is terrible, the vendor is a very poor-quality organizer.
1) Transportation cars are uncomfortable - they squeeze around 15 people in a small bus. The air conditioning is barely working, it's very hard to breathe, and there is not enough space.
2) The bus itself is old and broken - seats are FALLING OFF and not secured in place, air conditioning is just holes in the ceiling, seat belts are TORN OFF and not working - it's NOT SAFE by any means.
3) The organization was very chaotic, they brought us to the Rio Secreto, and no one knew what to do, people were just standing there, the guides weren't aware of which group is which, and our guide were assigned two times incorrectly.
4) Most of the excursion time is spend on the chaotic organization and transportation, rather than experiencing amazing places. We have to wait until they figure out which group you belong to. And you pay 300 euros for this.
5) Our guide was very slow, not informative, not encouraging, and did seem not very interested in the excursion itself. It was not interesting and not fun to listen.
6) We spent much more time on this event than it was advertised (11 hours over
7). Mostly because of terrible organization and transportation. We were very exhausted and it diminished every nice thing about such a beautiful place.
