A wonderful way to spend the weekend in Ecuador - We came on the trip as a first Long date and had a wonderful day. While Steve is in much greater shape than I am and had no problem, reaching the summit, I had to take my time. Dave was excellent, kind, and helpful. It was a wonderful experience for both of us. I strongly recommend having proper shoes and even a hiking stick. If you need it, the biking was fun, but as they constantly reminded us if you don’t bike, you shouldn’t do it and I would say he’s right. It was an excellent day and very special personally.

Abrilliant experience ! - An amazing trip from start to finish. Stui and his crew were brilliant hosts . As I am a 69 yr aul wreck he encouraged me along the way to the top .The weather could n't have been better either . I believe the day before was terrible . The bike ride was great too but be carefull on the bumps .They could do serious damage to your know whats . The meal was of the highest standard with friendly staff ! Well worth it all round !

Great experience!!! - A unique experience traveling to snowy Cotopaxi. It offers breathtaking landscapes and the opportunity to explore a unique ecosystem. The ascent can be challenging, but the views from the top are spectacular. In addition, it is an ideal place for nature and adventure lovers, with various activities such as hiking, cycling and observation of flora and fauna. However, it is important to be well prepared and properly acclimatised due to altitude. Recommended👍👍👍👍👍

Sucking wind for an amazing view. - The long slog up the scree field and the heavy breathing are currently the most vivid memories. However, like any challenge the difficult parts will fade and the beauty of the experience will come ro the front. It was just what I was looking for. The guide was great and it was made very clear that we could stop at any time. I would definitely recommend.

Good tour - The tour was great, our guide Victor told us on the way that the weather can be unpredictable on the walk to the base camp and unfortunately we had wind and rain & couldn’t see much of Cotopaxi but it was still cool to walk to the basecamp and get a hot drink & dry off before we walked straight down which was much quicker than the way up. Walk the zig -zag way up if you can - much easier underfoot than walking the steep, straight way up to base camp. Due to the rain we drove a bit further down to begin the downhill bike ride and we were blessed with sun! This was fun and we rode down to the lagoon before heading off for a tasty lunch down the road. (Same place as breakfast). I would say that the info given before the tour was very limited, only on the bus did they ask if we had bought gloves, jumpers, trousers, raincoats etc. luckily we had the majority of these things just incase (it was hot and sunny when we left Quito) but it would have been good to know before hand as it was cold!! Overall good tour

Beautiful views on windy hike at altitude. - Prompt pickup from meeting point. Stopped for breakfast. Order was sent in from bus to expedite. Cotopaxi & surrounding mountains were gorgeous. Hike was VERY windy. Wear SUNGLASSES to protect eyes. Warm top, hat that wont blow off, gloves & wind jacket. (I did not see this mentioned on info). Trail was on volcanic gravel so a little slippery but not technically difficult other than from wind & altitude. (I'm 60 yeaes old with bilateral knee replacements & went to 5000m) At altitude so drink coca tea or suck on candy that you can buy at breakfast stop. Beautiful views from top. Biking was disappointing. Maybe 20 minutes downhill on total washboard with very loose gravel on top. Skidded several times. Wind really pushes bike. (I just biked 4000 across US so not a novice biker). Walking at lake was pretty. Lunch was typical Equadorian. Views TOTALLY worth the cost/ time.
