Cotopaxi National Park is a protected area in Ecuador’s Latacunga Canton, within the Province of Cotopaxi. The park houses the snow-capped Cotopaxi Volcano and was the first national park established on Ecuador’s mainland, and the country’s second overall. Its ecosystem supports various tree species, including pine, cypress, spruce, and ash.

- Quilotoa - Continuing the journey to Quilotoa Volcano, the tour passes through the indigenous community of Tigua, known for its Andean-themed crafts. The next stop is the community of Zumbahua, where visitors can take photos at the Toachi River Canyon viewpoint. The tour then proceeds to the lagoon viewpoint, offering a breathtaking view of the volcanic crater and its stunning turquoise lagoon. From here, a hike begins. If time and weather allow, a short walk will be taken to fully appreciate the majestic volcano view.
