Excellect guide - We took a half day tour to get introduced to the historic area of Quito. Christian is a great guide. He showed up in the right place at the right time. He has excellent English, was friendly, and tolerated our efforts to use the spanish we have been learning. We live in Panama and were very interested in different aspects of Ecuadorean culture. He showed himself to be very knowledgeable over a wide range of topics. Some of the main buildings in the downtown area were closed due to a presidential visit, but he adapted well. As a way to get a feeling for the downtown area in particular, it was a great tour and Christian was excellent.

Private Sightseeing Tour Historic Centre Quito - My boyfriend and I booked this half day tour for our first morning in Quito, and were so happy we did! It helped us get oriented and was a wonderful introduction to the history and culture of the city. Coincidentally, it was also the morning of Good Friday, so there was a huge procession/parade that consumed most of the Centro Historico during our tour. Many of the normal parts of the tour (most of the churches) were closed due to the procession, but we didn't feel like we missed out because there was so much else going on! Our guide, Pablo, was very flexible, so he was able to give us a basic tour of the city while explaining and giving us time to watch the parade as well. We had a great time!
