A wonderful school - For a decade, I have studied Spanish in short periods with the wonderful and talented Tania, returning every two years to this school (ISE). If it wasn’t for her, she wouldn’t have been able to reach an advanced level of Spanish for adults and adults.
I have studied in different schools in several Spanish-speaking countries, as well as in an Institute of Spanish teaching in the United States. Without a doubt, Tania is the best Spanish teacher I have ever had. His passion for grammatical details, and in-depth knowledge of Spanish, made it possible for me to advance slowly along the long path of professional fluency.
I am afraid to praise her so much because her school could be filled with so many students that when I return I will not find a place available, but she deserves all the compliments that could be given. If you already speak C1+ level, but it has been difficult to find your way beyond the basics, she is extraordinarily able to help you and clarify one after another. She has an unusual way of being able to break down complicated and abstract topics, transforming them into something more accessible.
This school is a family business that has lasted for many years. The family aspect is diffused in all aspects of the school, and giving it a caring and encouraging atmosphere. Moreover, there is a nuclear group of teachers who have been working there for many years (Hello Tito and Vanessa!) and who have a lot of experience with students of various levels. These teachers are very professional, and they want students to improve and achieve their goals.
During the time of COVID-19, I am told that many Spanish schools in Quito were forced to close the doors. This school has been one of the few that has been able to survive that era and more, flourish. This school has been very successful, thanks to the word of mouth of several satisfied former students. In addition to many beginning students, teachers of Spanish as a foreign language from the United States have come, and graduate students who have had to defend their dissertations in Spanish.
Besides that, ISE tariffs are extremely accessible especially in the long run.

Spanish school in an amazing place - It was an amazing experience with an amazing teacher in an amazing city. Before going to Quito I did not know much about Ecuador or Quito, but I soon fell in love with it. The school and Quito always felt very safe and happy despite what the news may say. The school is full of wonderful energy and helped me start to accomplish something I long felt impossible. To learn a new language. I hope many more people get the experience to visit this wonderful place.

Learned an incredible amount of things in a short time. - After 10 months of traveling through South America, I am back here in Quito, where my trip began in May 2023. The visit to the ISE, Superior de Español at the end of my trip was a positive surprise; I was able to improve my Spanish here again. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made my stay particularly pleasant. I know that many people have doubts about traveling here or other places in South America, but I can reassure you: it is no less safe than other big cities, for example in Europe. You just have to pay attention to a few things that you can read about everywhere. That's why I warmly recommend this school in Quito.

Quito is safe! - I spent 5 days in Quito taking Spanish lessons and doing activities. Quito is modern and safe, but quite high in altitude. This one of the best Spanish classes I have taken. The Spanish spoken in Quito is very clear At age 67. . I felt safe at all times and would recommend this school to any other American or non native Spanish speaker.

Brilliant one week course 1-2-1, for someone with dyslexia - I have dyslexia and have never learnt a language before. I did a one week course (1-2-1) with an amazing teacher. She adjusted the pace to match my learning speed - absolutely no pressure. She also used a variety of methods to help me grasp concepts. I have ended the course feeling empowered and more confident. I would encourage anyone with dyslexia to have a go ( definitely on a 1-2-1 basis).

Great place to learn Spanish and explore Quito - I had a great experience learning Spanish and also exploring areas around Quito. I stayed with a local family arranged by the School and that was a wonderful way to understand the culture and language. School director, Eugenio, picked me up from the airport and arranged all the trips for me.
I would highly recommend this school. Teachers and staff are very helpful and friendly. School location is also very central. There are lot of good places to walk around and explore.

High-quality, effective Spanish instruction at a reasonable price - I completed two weeks of private instruction at Instituto Superior prior to starting a new job in the USA where Spanish competency is required. The Directors designed a program to fit my needs, including building in several hours of instruction (conversation and vocabulary-building) specific to my work as an attorney . In just two weeks I was able to advance a full level from B1 to C1 thanks to the amazing highly experienced teachers at ISE. I highly recommend this school for anyone looking for top-quality instruction from people who are trained to teach Spanish to non-native speakers. I just wish I could have stayed another week or two!

Best Spanish school! - Amazing school!!! My Spanish improved so much and I had a great time. The teachers are incredible and Eugenio, the director, is so thoughtful and goes above and beyond to make sure you are having a great experience. He picks you up from the airport for free, asks how you’re doing each day and if there is anything he can do to improve your experience. We went on group trips every Wednesday to explore different places in Quito. The other students become family. I cannot recommend this school enough!!

30 hours of individual lessons per week for 3 weeks - Thank you to everyone at ESE for making our 3 week stay a very positive experience. Everything about the school was great! They found us a very nice 'Boutique Hotel" which was only a ten minute walk from the school. They have a staff member who walked with us to help us find our way to the school on the first day and who helped us find a restaurant for lunch. The teachers were all first class! They are a dedicated staff, who focuses entirely on what the student aims to achieve. Something we really appreciated were the ethics of the school administration. When we had to leave a week early for personal reasons, they returned to us all the money that we had paid for that extra week, no questions asked. We learned a lot of Spanish and a lot about Ecuador.
