Great entertainment, smells and tastes - Beautiful people showing us how to make delicious food. Not complicated, I’m not a big cook myself, but really enjoyed the whole experience. Short tour of fresh market was great, amazing smells and sights. Then to a small kitchen to make potato soup, ceviche, and taste various fruits and drinks. Excellent. Good English if you’re concerned. Highly recommend for a few hours of fun, and full meal.

Great introduction to Ecuadorian food culture - We really enjoyed the market tour, where we got to try many of Ecuador’s unique fruits. The recipes were simple, but it was interesting to see how meals were cooked based on Ecuadorian culture. Their English was very good, and they were all so nice

The best Ecuador has to offer - The market tour was very informational but the cooking experience was the best part. The ladies who host the cooking portion are lovely and knowledgeable about the culture and cuisine. The food was also very tasty.

Fun & Educational Tour! - Andres did an amazing job introducing us to Ecuador’s diverse fruits and medicinal ingredients during the market tour—it was incredibly educational. Sylvia and Magola, the talented cooks, brought Ecuadorian history to life with their stories while maintaining impeccable hygiene, frequently washing their hands and cleaning our work table. We loved the constant snacks and lively conversation throughout the class. Whether you’re a cooking enthusiast or just want to savor delicious food and connect with locals, this class is a must-try experience. Highly recommend!

Very professional, fun, and educational cooking class! - I had an incredible experience with the Cooking Class and Market Tour in Ecuador! Magola and Silvia were fantastic hosts, creating a relaxed atmosphere with upbeat music while maintaining a spotless kitchen. We were hands-on in every step, snacking on delicious treats and immersing ourselves in Ecuadorian culture. The market tour, led by Andres, was equally amazing—he shared fascinating insights into the market and local foods. This is a must-do experience for anyone looking to explore Ecuador’s culinary traditions!

A real authentic local culinary cooking experience ! - Fantastic experience with pick up by the boss from our hotel followed by shopping for ingredients for our lunch at the center city market, sampling the many different fruits and other possible menu items and mingling with all the locals at there daily market spot (no other tourists in sight!) followed by a few blocks ride to the cooking class site in a private courtyard residence in old town. All hands on deck helping with the prep (including a home made Equadoran cocktail) and then enjoying the delicious local dishes we helped make and learn to prepare. Warm and friendly pair of chefs who are really great teachers of genuine local recipes. By the end it felt like a meal with relatives while home for the holidays! We had a wonderful time!

Unforgettable experience - What an amazing experience - just the perfect way to start our travels. Andres picked us up at our hotel and showed us a market in Quito with all its beautiful fruits, vegetables and many more. He then brought us to this beautiful building, more than 200 years old. It's just by a main street but once you enter the building it's very quiet and calm there. We were welcomed by his beautiful wife Silvia and her friend who taught us how to cook traditional Ecuadorian dishes. We were also served this delicious warm cocktail with some sort of local cane sugar "rum". Silvia even organized our taxi that brought us back to the hotel. Thank you so much for the unforgettable experience. I can recommend this cooking class to anyone who's interested in learning more about Ecuadorian food culture and people.

Great fun and experience - We loved this experience. Andre's tour of the food market was fun and informative. Sophia and Magala were wonderful in the cooking part of the tour. They gave us some great tips on food prep and storage. The ceviche and potato soup we made was very tasty. I highly recommend this tour.
