Fabulous tour - Really enjoyed this 3 hour (closer to 4 hour) tour. Malena took us to a bunch of great cultural sights, at the same time fitting in lots of food tastings and lunch. In spite of all of the sights and tastes packed into the tour, we never felt in a rush. Highly recommended!

Great experience! - Daniel was wonderful! Went above and beyond as a tour guide. Super knowledgeable and personable. We had a great tour - despite the torrential rain! Note - it is both a historical and a gastronomy tour. I’ve done other food tours and left stuffed! This one is smaller bites. Don’t come starving! The plantain empanadas were amazing!

Fun and enlightening - Great tour of Old Town. The guide, Malena, was fabulous, knowledgeable, friendly and fun to hang out with. We visited the Basilica, and several other churches, a chocolate store, a few restaurants, a fantastic small art museum and a nice local products store. My favorite place was definitely Museo Camilo Egas, unexpected and beautiful art. They packed a lot of experiences in a few hours. I highly recommend!

Perfect (and delicious) way to see a new city! - We met up with our guide, Ivan, and his wife, Rosa, who served as a photographer for the tour. Almost immediately you could see the passion Ivan has for his city and for sharing it with others. From our first stop at the basilica, to the secret nun store with real bones in the floor (seriously!), to the ‘deli’ where we sampled a local sandwich, to the final stop at Yumbos Chocolate, the tour was wonderful and a perfect way to explore a new city. I learned so much about Quito and Ecuador from these two. They even ended the tour with a little snack wrapped in a friendship bracelet! Now that bracelet is tied to my backpack and will travel the world with me. Thank you again!! Pro tips: Pay the entrance fee to go inside Basílica del Voto Nacional; the stained glass is worth the price alone. Never mind the amazing views from the top of the towers. Also, save room in your suitcase to buy ALL the chocolate at Yumbos. You can’t leave the tasting empty handed (the aji y sal bar is divine)!
