Lung Tam village - Day 1 In Lung Tam village, visitors can experience the daily life of the locals. Hmong women skillfully work with looms to create exquisite brocade and linen pieces from flax fibers. Weaving a fine brocade piece is a source of pride for Hmong women.
The primary material for weaving is flax fibers, so each Hmong woman has her own field for growing flax plants. After harvesting, the flax plants are soaked in water to extract the fibers. The fibers are then rolled and steamed to soften them. The locals use natural dyes from forest leaves and wood to color the fibers.
