Off the beating path, with an awesome guide. - We’ve just completed a 4-day tour of the Giang Loop, opting for dirt bikes and a private guided experience to avoid the larger “easy rider” groups. It was, without a doubt, an unforgettable adventure. Although we had a detailed itinerary, we often pushed our guide, Frank, to take us off the beaten path—venturing into remote villages we could see in the distance and tackling challenging single-track roads he’d never explored before. At times, we got stuck or hit a dead end, but we also discovered some absolute hidden gems. The entire experience felt like a true adventure, filled with exhilarating off-road challenges. What set Frank apart was his willingness to step outside the standard itinerary. While many guides might stick to the program, He pushed the boundaries, which led to some unforgettable experiences. The itinerary itself was perfectly balanced, offering a great mix of driving, sightseeing, and activities. Frank was fantastic—knowledgeable, passionate, and eager to share his culture with us. The accommodation throughout the tour was ideal and, most importantly, spotlessly clean.with most having a very nice view The food was incredible from start to finish, with plenty of opportunities to try local delicacies we might never have discovered on our own. The Giang Loop is an extraordinary place that truly left its mark on us. If you’re considering it, don’t hesitate—just do it!

Best thing to do in Vietnam! - My partner and I recently enjoyed a fantastic 4-day private tour of the Ha Giang Loop with Chi and Quay as our guides. The experience was unforgettable, offering breathtaking views of North Vietnam's stunning landscapes. The accommodations were clean and peaceful, and the food was some of the best we’ve had during our month-long stay in Vietnam. The riders were exceptionally safe, ensuring a comfortable and worry-free journey. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the Ha Giang Loop!

Exciting motorbike trip along more exciting landscape of North Vietnam - We had a very great and funny experience on the four day Ha Giang loop with Authentic Ha Giang! My wife and me booked a Private Motorbike Tour 4D3N with one guide and to bikes which we planned to drive our own. Very quick and easy online communication beforehand with the manager. Pick up in the early morning at our hotel in Hanoi was done precisely by a limousine bus. After six hours of transfer we got a warm welcome at Authentic Ha Giang by our guide Tong and a valuable local lunch. During all the tour days our guide did a very great job, was extremely caring and always reacting flexible to our individual demands. We could really go at our own pace and were never rushed. Guided by Tong we did sometimes leave the main track and he guided us through narrow paths and showed us great landscapes and sceneries of North Vietnam. We got to stay in private rooms at so called homestays, which were all comfortable, clean and cosy. All the food during the whole trip was also amazing! The trip included some insights into the Vietnamese (drinking) culture and of course some karaoke, too. But most of all we enjoyed the views and the authentic insights in the way the origin are livingl!! The landscapes are all super unique and gorgeous and we recommend this trip very strongly.Definitely one of our highlights during our trip through Vietnam.

Ha Giang Off-Road Bike Tour - It was good overall. However, since it was the holiday season, there was no room, so the two men were initially given the same bed, but it was later replaced with a twin bed. The off-road ratio isn't that high, but you can go extra if you talk about it. Although there were problems such as punctures, we were able to proceed with the tour without any major disruption thanks to help with repairs. There were no major problems with the condition of the motorcycle.

Safety focused tour with great pace and a great little group - We started from Hanoi on a limousine bus which is a small bus that fits around 9 people and has AC and comfy seats. The bus itself was nice but it was full and the drive didn't feel very comfortable. On top of that the bus driver was going like crazy and put us in danger multiple times. We stayed at a homestay in Ha Giang the first night which wasn't anything great. Quite noisy and your sleep will be interrupted by some of the group arriving in the middle of the night in the sleeper bus. Other people in our group told us that they quite liked the sleeper bus so maybe opt for that. The next morning we started on the loop which would take us 4 days. We were a small group with really nice people and had a few motorbikes and 2 jeeps. We were riding on one of the jeeps and our driver Tung was really nice. He couldn't speak English but we did chat with Google translate a bit. He was very friendly and his driving was careful overall even when the road was rough at some parts of the loop. He was very attentive and helpful with our baggages. Overall the scenery was very nice, with breathtaking views. We passed some small villages and saw locals along the way. However, the road is a bit rough at points and the fact that you're always on the go is tiring. The food was nice but after a while it became monotonous as it was almost always the same dishes, lunch and dinner. Also, we felt that communication could be better regarding the plans for the day. There were a couple of instances when we started in the morning later than what was agreed and an instance when we skipped the local market in the morning of the last day, and we didn't understand why. Moreover, there were some parts in the route that we needed to do with motorbikes and we were informed about that the very last minute. We felt that this could have been communicated from the beginning. However, we did find a solution for those who didn't want to ride a motorbike, which was appreciated.  Overall we can recommend Authentic Ha Giang for doing the loop as they are more focused on safety and go at a nice pace compared to other groups we met on the loop. Also the small group size makes the experience better. A few little things can be improved which would make the experience even better.
