Day 1: Ha Giang Jeep tour - Pac Sun Pass - Heaven Gate - Lung Tam Village - Yen Minh - Hmong Kinh Palace - Dong Van Town

Quan Ba Heaven Gate - Our Ha Giang Jeep Tour kicks off at 8:00 am from our office in Ha Giang City. You’ll receive a brief overview of the tour itinerary before departure.

On the first day, the Ha Giang Jeep Tours Team driver will guide you through some of the most stunning scenery, featuring spectacular landscapes and breathtaking views. Just 10 minutes outside the city, you’ll find yourself driving into the mountains along winding roads, where the stunning views begin. The first notable pass is Pac Sum Pass, situated over 1000 meters above sea level, where you’ll notice a cooler temperature. Here, you’ll stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the vast valley and the villages nestled along the mountainside. The journey continues to Heaven Gate, offering the most spectacular landscape of the first day’s tour.

Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - After taking in the view from Pac Sum Pass, you’ll hop back into the open-air Jeep to drive through limestone mountains and villages, experiencing beautiful scenery along the way. Upon arriving at Heaven Gate, you’ll be greeted by an amazing landscape and a vast, deep valley. After enjoying the view, the riders will drive down to the hidden village of Lung Tam, home to the Dao Minority people, where you’ll have the chance to visit a local family.

The Jeep Tour continues past Quang Ba to the town of Tam Son. Here, you’ll start to see the impressive rock formations of the Karst Plateau Geopark. You’ll stop at a viewpoint to have lunch and admire the beautiful terraced rice paddies.

Dong Van - After lunch, the tour continues to Dong Van. Along the way, you’ll pass through the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a significant geoheritage site in Vietnam. You’ll see numerous terraced rice fields, limestone rocks, and hidden villages in the valleys, offering a glimpse into rural north Vietnamese life. The riders will also take you to the famous northernmost viewpoint in Vietnam. Before reaching Dong Van Town, you’ll stop at the residence of the Vuong family, known as the “Hmong King Palace.” The trip then continues to Dong Van Town, where you’ll have free time to explore and stay overnight.

Ma Pi Leng Pass - After breakfast, the Jeep Tour resumes at 8:30 am, riding through Happy Road. You’ll witness the most spectacular landscapes of Ha Giang, including the renowned Ma Pi Leng Pass. From the road and various panoramic viewpoints, you’ll see the vast valley and the Nho Que River below. This pass is often considered the most beautiful part of the loop. You’ll stop at a viewpoint to enjoy the panoramic views of the river and valley before continuing to the next beautiful location.

Meo Vac - After visiting Ma Pi Leng Pass, you’ll get back into the open-air Jeep to drive through Meo Vac town and continue to the famous M Road viewpoint. The Jeep will take you along backroads, offering more stunning landscapes, before reaching the small town of Mau Due for lunch and relaxation. The journey then continues back to Ha Giang City.

Ha Giang Province - After lunch, you’ll get back into the open-air Jeep to enjoy more beautiful scenery on the way. The Jeep will take a shortcut back to Yen Minh town, then continue through Can Ty Pass and Quang Ba. After about 4 hours of driving, you’ll arrive back in Ha Giang City around 5 pm, where you can wait for the bus to Hanoi or stay in Ha Giang City. Our team will bid you farewell.
