Highlights

Ha Giang - Bac Sum Slope - Heaven Gate - Twin Mountain - Yen Minh – Tham Ma Slope - H’mong King Palace - Dong Van Town.

Quan Ba Heaven Gate - At 8 a.m., you’ll meet our team at the office after breakfast. We’ll introduce the program, including safety measures for traveling behind our driver and wearing safety gear.

On the first day, you’ll experience a series of delightful surprises. Our team will take you to visit the Bac Sum Pass, where you’ll marvel at the winding road resembling a giant python slithering through the foot of the “Twin Mountains.” From a distance, the Bac Sum Slope appears like a soft silk strip crossing the rolling mountain peaks, shrouded in mist and clouds.

Crossing the Bac Sum Pass, our first stop is Quan Ba Heaven Gate, located at an altitude of 1500m above sea level. Here, you can breathe in the fresh air and fully appreciate the enchanting and majestic beauty of the mountains, forests, rice fields, and flower valleys when in season.

Yen Minh - Next, you’ll be driven to Quan Ba Twin Mountains and hear its tale.

During the trip, you’ll see the Dong Van Karst Plateau, known as the “gray paradise” of Ha Giang due to its gray mountains mixed with cat-ear rocks. People often grow corn and other crops on cliffs slanting through the rocks. You’ll also see small houses precariously perched on mountainsides or cliffs.

On the way to the next destinations, you’ll pass Nam Dam and Lung Tam villages, home to the Dao and Hmong ethnic minorities. Here, you can experience the local culture through the people and landscape. You’ll see locals drying corn, working in the fields, or children playing and helping their parents. They maintain their culture by wearing traditional costumes even while working. You’ll then have lunch in Yen Minh.

Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - After lunch in Yen Minh town, you’ll continue up the Tham Ma Slope, encountering towering mountains and spectacular landscapes. You’ll see thousands of limestone mountains and make several stops to enjoy the views before visiting the Hmong King Palace.

Dinh Vua Meo - Our riders will also take you to the Chinese border and the famous northernmost viewpoint in Vietnam. Before heading to Dong Van town, you’ll stop at the Vuong family’s residence, known as the “Hmong King Palace,” to learn about Hmong culture and history.

Dong Van - The trip continues to Dong Van town, where you’ll stay overnight at a hotel. After dinner, you can explore Dong Van ancient town’s nightlife.

Day 2: Dong Van - Happy Road - Ma Pi Leng Pass - See Nho Que River - Meo Vac – M Road - Mau Hue Valley - Ha Giang - Hanoi

Ma Pi Leng Pass - After a local breakfast, our team will continue the trip. You’ll traverse Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s four famous passes, a challenging 20-kilometer route on the Happiness Road connecting Ha Giang City, Dong Van, and Meo Vac town. There’s a rest area to enjoy the view. From the top, you’ll see a panoramic view of Dong Van Stone Plateau and the majestic mountain scenery, with cliffs on one side and the deep abyss of the Nho Que River with emerald green water on the other. You’ll stop at a viewpoint to see the valley and river, and walk along the beautiful area to enjoy the stunning view before continuing through Meo Vac valley and town.

Ha Giang - Driving through Meo Vac Town, you’ll pass the M-shaped road, a spectacular location running from Yen Minh to Meo Vac. Passing through Mau Due, you’ll discover the communities at the foot of the mountain - Tay and H’mong villages - and learn about their unique traditions and cultural practices. Capture memories amidst the wild rocky mountains, green forests, and winding roads. The tour concludes in Ha Giang city around 5:00 to 5:30 p.m., where you’ll wait for the night sleeper bus back to Hanoi, ending the trip.

Don't miss out on Ha Giang Loop! - We initially intended on doing the loop solo but when we realised we needed an international license our plans changed and it worked our for the better! Our group had 6 tourists in total and it was lovely to meet others and to enjoy the experience together! We did the 2 day tour and the others in the group did 3 days. Our tour guide Chien Hao (Frank) was outstanding, he is a real asset to the team with a wealth of knowledge and love for the area, he brought us to places we wouldn't have seen if we had been solo. Our riders were fantastic and made it such an enjoyable experience. Two long days on the back of the scooter can be tiring and tough on the body so if anyone has back problems I would advise doing the jeep tour. The overall tour was organised extremely well and everyone is eager to help in any way they can. As for the loop itself, it is spectacular and I think it will definitely be one of the highlights of our trip.

Unforgettable adventure - Our motorcycle road trip was an epic experience from start to finish. Through breathtaking landscapes and winding roads, we discovered total freedom. Every twist and turn brought a new surprise, whether it was a picturesque village, a panoramic viewpoint or an unexpected encounter with the wilderness. Stops at local inns and typical restaurants added an authentic flavor to our trip. A word of advice: leave enough time to soak up every moment and prepare yourself for an unforgettable adventure. Central always had some storys to tell us and he was very funny !
