10/10 experience. Highly recommend this company - We had the best 4 days with Ha and his crew. We ended up having a private tour with just the 3 of us which made the trip so special. We could not have felt safer and more looked after. I was travelling with my mother and friend and Ha made sure we always had enough stops and we were never left hungry. 10/10 recommend this company for a special trip around the Ha Giang Loop. Ha even gave us a little present for International women’s day. This was the highlight of our trip to Vietnam

This tour is an absolute must! - We had an amazing trip. The guides were so supportive and helpful. Ha was the group leader, he was so nice and all guides drove really safe. They brought us to so many interesting sites. It’s easily been my favourite experience in Vietnam. A must do while you are here! Would 100% recommended the dragon for your tour, couldn’t fault them!

This holiday was hard to fault - We did an amazing 4-day small group tour. Our tour leader Ben was great, with plenty of good food and clean comfortable accommodation. The days were well-paced with plenty of breaks to have a coffee and see the sights.

The views of a lifetime while someone else drives the motorcycle! - We did Dragon Teams’ 3-day Ha Giang tour (with Easy Riders) in late Feb, 2025 and highly recommend it! It was an awesome small group tour. We saw some breathtaking scenery, including a new wall that China has built along the border with Viet Nam. Just being on back of the motorbikes was exhilarating, and we got to focus on the views, since someone else was driving. We stopped often, for views and activities like a walk to a waterfall or a riding bamboo rafts up a river to a cave, which kept us from getting saddle sore on the motorbikes. We some misty/rainy overcast weather, but it didn't stop us from having a great time. On the first two days, my husband and I went to fascinating local Hmong markets before we started the day. Some of the “roads” we drove on were only about a meter wide, and we got lots of attention from little kids in communities we drove through. My husband and I chose the Luxury tour option which meant we had our own ensuite room at the places we stayed each night. It didn’t cost much more than the regular price (and was worth it because we are in our 50s, older than most other Ha Giang tour travelers). We had a big array of food at every meal and plenty of water or soft drinks. Long Pham was focused on safety while also making sure we had an awesome time. We had full helmets, knee/lower leg armor and, best of all—gloves. It was surprisingly chilly, and we noticed that most groups lacked gloves. Long provided plastic rain covers that we wore over our clothing. We chose Long Pham and his Dragon Team because we wanted a small group and aren’t big partiers. However, there’s plenty of opportunity to drink rice wine and sing karaoke each night at the homestays/inns with other tour groups, if you are into that. Our group was only 3 people (plus drivers), but Long will accept up to 8 people per group; however, he usually has 6 or fewer. Long speaks English, but the drivers did not. We aren’t totally risk-averse or we wouldn’t go on a motorcycle tour in the first place, but we really appreciated the careful driving of Long and his drivers. We were never put in a risky situation on motorbikes. Our last night was at Long’s own homestay-- which was way more special (and quieter) than the larger inns on the tour-- where we made sticky rice. I thought Vietnamese multicolored rice contained artificial dyes, but it’s all made from local plants. We made the dyes, soaked the rice overnight, made a peanut sauce, and cooked the rice the next morning. It was fun to eat dinner with Long’s family. His wife is an excellent cook, and we got to enjoy his two adorable and entertaining daughters, ages 4 and 7. The younger girl tried very patiently to teach us all to say ‘peanut’ in Vietnamese, but we had hard with the tones in spoken Vietnamese! We were supposed to do a local trek on day 4 but had to leave because I had mixed up the date of our flight out of Hanoi.
