Day 1: Ha Giang – Yen Minh – Tham Ma pass - H’mong King palace - Dong Van
Quan Ba Heaven Gate - The tour kicks off at 8:30 am from Ha Giang city, either at our office or a designated meeting point. Our guide will provide a brief overview of the itinerary before you embark on your adventure.
On the first day, our Ha Giang Easy Riders Team driver will guide you through some of the most stunning scenery, featuring spectacular landscapes and breathtaking views. As you ascend into the mountains and navigate the winding roads, you’ll reach Pac Sung Pass, which stands over 1000 meters above sea level. Here, you’ll notice a significant drop in temperature. Take a break to enjoy the panoramic view from Pac Sung Pass, capture some photos, and perhaps savor a coffee at the top. Afterward, continue your journey to Heaven Gate. After a 20-minute ride, you’ll arrive at Heaven Gate, where you’ll be treated to a magnificent landscape, including a vast valley, villages nestled deep within, and impressive limestone mountain ranges. This is a perfect spot for photos.
Yen Minh - After soaking in the views from Heaven Gate, hop back on your motorbike and head towards Tam Son Town to see the famous Twin Mountains. Next, visit Nam Dam village, home to the Dao minority. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about local cultures and see traditional clay houses. After exploring Nam Dam village, our team will take you through backroads offering stunning views, then continue to Trang Kim valley and ascend Can Ty Pass, which reaches an altitude of 1500 meters above sea level. Stop at the viewpoint to admire the scenery, including rocky mountains, rivers, and villages. Although you’ll be tempted to stay, there’s much more to see. Continue to Yen Minh for lunch at a local restaurant with a fantastic view of terraced rice paddies and enjoy some local cuisine.
Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - After lunch, head to the central Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a significant geoheritage site in Vietnam. You’ll encounter numerous terraced rice fields, limestone rocks, and hidden villages in the valley. Witness rural north Vietnamese countryside life as people work the land. Ascend Tham Ma Slope, a famous pass, and stop to enjoy the view and take photos for 15-20 minutes. Continue to Pho Cao and Lao Xa, with many beautiful stops along the way to admire the stunning views and mountains. In the late afternoon, visit the historical Hmong King Palace.
Dinh Vua Meo - Our team will guide you to the Hmong King Palace, located in the Sa Phin Valley. This palace, built in 1902, was the seat of power for two Hmong rulers who dominated the region. Learn about the history and stories of the Hmong people.
Dong Van - After visiting the Hmong King Palace, ride to Dong Van town for an overnight stay. After a 45-minute ride, check into a traditional house for a private room and relax until dinner. In the evening, explore the ancient town of Dong Van.
Day 2: Dong Van Town – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac Town – Du Gia Village
Ma Pi Leng Pass - After a delicious breakfast, leave Dong Van Town and head towards the most beautiful part of the journey, Ma Pi Leng Pass, located on the Happiness Road connecting Dong Van and Meo Vac. This legendary pass is known for its rugged cliffs and breathtaking views, often referred to as the “king” of passes in Vietnam. The road winds through cliffs and reaches an altitude of 2,000 meters. Ride down the Sky Path to admire the valley and Nho Que river, offering a 360° view. Capture unforgettable photos of Ma Pi Leng Pass and feel overwhelmed by the majestic mountains and rivers.
Meo Vac - After visiting Ma Pi Leng Pass and Nho Que river, continue through Meo Vac, where you’ll see incredible scenery and stop at the famous M road. Proceed through Duong Thuong valley, with many beautiful sights along the way. Stop for lunch in the small town of Mau Due at a local restaurant and relax before continuing the journey.
Du Gia - After lunch, continue to more remote villages. Drive through Lung Ho, stopping at viewpoints to see terraced rice paddies. Navigate the mountainous trails of Ha Giang province to Du Gia Village, home to seven ethnic minorities. Explore the colorful village and its rich culture, visit a waterfall, and enjoy a swim. Spend the night at a homestay with a Tay Minority Family in a private room, enjoying dinner and “happy water” with the family.
Day 3: Du Gia – Duong Thuong Valley -lung Tam Valley- Ha Giang City
Ha Giang Province - After breakfast, bid farewell to your homestay hosts and continue the journey. The last day promises more amazing natural landscapes. Head back to Ha Giang, but the attractions don’t end here. After two hours of driving, reach Quan Ba town and see Nui Do mountain, which some say resembles fairy breasts. Cross Sky Gate and return to Bac Sum Pass. After an adventurous ride, arrive back in Ha Giang in the afternoon, just in time to catch a bus or limousine back to Hanoi, or opt for a night bus depending on your schedule and plans after the tour.
