Quan Ba Heaven Gate - The awe-inspiring landscape left us speechless as our vehicle navigated the perilous roads, hugging the mountain’s edge. With a steep drop on one side and cliffs reaching into the clouds on the other, it seemed as if a divine hand had drawn a line across the rugged terrain. From the mountain pass’s summit, we gazed down at a vast valley of endless terraced fields, exuding a paradisiacal charm through the mist. The fields are a vibrant tapestry of yellow rice, green sprouts, and brown earth, dotted with small homes.
Twin Mountains - The Twin Mountains in Ha Giang are a remarkable natural formation that enchants visitors with their stunning beauty and distinctive shape.
Lung Khuy Cave - Lung Khuy Cave in Ha Giang is a breathtaking natural marvel offering an unforgettable experience. Discovered in 2015, the cave boasts impressive stalactites and stalagmites, creating a captivating underground landscape. Exploring Lung Khuy Cave involves traversing a series of awe-inspiring chambers, each highlighting nature’s intricate artistry. Surrounded by the serene and rugged highlands, Lung Khuy Cave is a must-see for those seeking adventure and natural beauty.
Lung Tam - Lung Tam in Quan Ba is a charming village renowned for its traditional linen weaving. Nestled among Ha Giang’s tranquil mountains, this village is home to the Hmong people, who have preserved their ancient craft of linen making. Visitors to Lung Tam can observe the meticulous process of creating linen, from flax cultivation to fabric weaving, all done by hand using traditional techniques. Yen Minh - The first day’s journey concludes. We will stay in Yen Minh town with a local family and savor local specialties.
Yen Minh - Tham Ma Slope - 9 Round Slope - The Hmong King’s Palace - Flag Tower Lung Cu - Northernmost Point - Lo Lo Chai
Dong Van - Known as the “legendary road” of the remote border area, it is one of the most challenging routes for adventure-seeking travelers. Tham Ma Slope features numerous sharp turns and S-shaped curves winding through the majestic limestone mountains.
Nine Turns Slope - Connecting the villages of Pho Cao and Sung La, the Nine Turns Slope in Ha Giang is indeed challenging, with continuous sharp turns winding steeply, testing the courage of experienced drivers. An old saying notes that even horses hesitate to walk on this slope.
The Hmong King’s Palace - The mansion of the Meo King, one of the wealthiest families in Dong Van at the start of the 20th century, cost 150,000 Indochinese silver coins, equivalent to about 7 million USD today. Before construction, King Vuong Chinh Duc consulted feng shui masters from China and surveyed four districts under his rule to select the location.
Lung Cu Flag Tower - The Lung Cu Flag Tower in Ha Giang stands as a symbol of Vietnam’s sovereignty, located at the country’s northernmost point. Surrounded by stunning mountainous landscapes, this historic monument offers breathtaking panoramic views, making it a must-visit destination for its cultural significance and natural beauty.
Northernmost Point of Vietnam - The northernmost point is the highest place in Vietnam, bordering China. Here, you can admire the majestic mountain scenery of the two neighboring countries.
Lo Lo Chai - The village offers wonderful sightseeing, with green hues cascading into the rocky mountains, complemented by unique culture and architecture. Lo Lo Chai has also become a community-based cultural tourism village with homestays.
Dong Van - We will spend the second night in Dong Van town with the local people and enjoy the local specialties.

Ma Pi Leng Pass - Ma Pi Leng Pass in Ha Giang is one of Vietnam’s most spectacular mountain passes. Known for its breathtaking views, the pass winds through towering cliffs and deep valleys, offering panoramic vistas of the Nho Que River below. Often referred to as the “king” of Vietnam’s passes, Ma Pi Leng is a must-visit for its dramatic scenery and the thrilling experience of navigating its winding roads.
Nho Que River - The Nho Que River in Ha Giang is a stunning waterway that winds through deep gorges and lush green valleys. Known for its emerald-green waters, the river offers breathtaking views, especially from the famous Ma Pi Leng Pass. Visitors can take boat trips to explore its serene beauty, making it a highlight of any trip to Ha Giang.
Thai An - On the way back to Ha Giang City, we will pass through Thai An. This is a wonderful route featuring mountains, rivers, and waterfalls. The beauty here cannot be described in words; it can only be truly appreciated through your own experience.
Ha Giang - The trip concludes at Strawberry House in Ha Giang City, where you can rest and refresh after completing the journey.
