• Debela peč - This scenic hike in the Julian Alps offers an accessible route to the 2050 m summit of Debela peč. Beginning at the Pokljuka plateau, it provides a glimpse into the stunning Slovenian alpine landscape.

As you ascend the mountain, you’ll be enveloped by a lush green forest, eventually revealing some of the most spectacular views in the Alps. Mount Triglav, Slovenia’s highest peak, will be visible in all its grandeur. Additionally, you’ll enjoy breathtaking vistas of Mount Viševnik, Draški vrh, and the Lipanca mountain pasture.

During the hike, there will be a stop at a traditional Slovenian mountain hut, where you can sample some authentic local cuisine.

The trail is technically straightforward and ideal for beginners, families, and children. Over the course of 2-3 hours, you’ll gradually ascend 700m in elevation. Overall, the hike will take approximately 4-6 hours.
