Black Sand Beach - The black sandy beach of Reynisfjara.

Vik - Vik is the southernmost village in Iceland, with a population of around 700. It is the largest settlement within a 70-kilometer radius and serves as a crucial service center for residents and visitors to the coastal strip between Skógar and Mýrdalssandur. The town is beautifully situated, with notable sites such as the Black Sandy Beach and Reynisdrangar. Vik is located directly south of the Mýrdalsjökull glacier and is the warmest place in Iceland, with an annual mean temperature of around 5.3 °C (41.5 °F). There is no landmass between here and Antarctica, allowing the Atlantic Ocean to strike with full force.

Dyrholaey - The Icelandic name ending in -ey might suggest it is an island, but it is actually a promontory about 120 meters high, extending into the ocean. It is believed to have formed during a submarine volcanic eruption approximately 80,000 years ago. From the top, you can enjoy views of the Westman Islands, Mýrdalsjökull, Eyjafjöll, and more. Dyrholaey is a prime spot for birdwatching, with various seabird species, including puffins and eiders. This stop is weather-dependent.
-
Seljalandsfoss - Seljalandsfoss, located on the Seljalandsa River, features a narrow cascade and is one of Iceland’s tallest waterfalls, dropping 63 meters (200 feet) over former coastal cliffs. You can walk behind the waterfall. Another nearby waterfall, Gljúfrabúi, is partially hidden by its own canyon and is easily accessible except during winter, but we will check it out.
