The zoo is about an hour’s drive south of Rovaniemi. Once there, you can wander through the zoo and observe the fascinating animals and birds that inhabit the “top of the world!!”. You can enjoy a meal at the cozy restaurant, explore various souvenir shops including the Fazer candy/chocolate shop, and visit the wine shop, which offers unique wines made from locally sourced wild berries like cloudberries, lingonberries, and bilberries.

Happy life - Very good experience , all of us are happy and relax . I can take very good photo make us enjoy in my whole life .If I have time I will come again and again 😀😀😀

Great zoo - Super experience. We saw most of the animals and birds. Really big kids playground. Fazer candy shop was also a big plus.
Definitely would like to visit again.

Unusual but outstanding zoo - Most animals/birds were in their natural habitat; no cramped cages. A delightful walk through the zoo along a wooden "trail." Nice eateries for afterward, plus a sinful chocolate store to enjoy during the ride home. Worth the 1-hour drive each way.

Sleeping polar Bear and snow owls - The tour guide was excellent and so caring throughout the whole trip. Prépare yourselves to walk for almost three km . Nice zoo to see Arctic animals.

Wonderful must see - Arctic and Nordic animals in Ranua zoo a must see experience. Journey is about an hour but worthy. We went early morning through a day tour by Viator, it’s organised and managed to get back to city at 2pm. Must see polar bear and white owl. Many type of owls, quite interesting to look around and spot them. We managed to see only one polar bear, there are two but the other was sleeping. The scenery in this zoo really amazing and a simple snap just looked like postcards.

Loved - I got to see all the animals except for the brown bear (asleep in hibernation). Guide was lovely. I did a sleigh ride which was a tick off the bucket list. Zoo was very clean and reasonably priced.

Great few hours spent. - We loved this day out. My only reservation was deleting the polar bears in an enclosure. Just didn’t quite feel right to me, but overall it was a lovely day out and experience. The ice bar was a cracking experience too.
