Stunning location and friendly staff - Have been here a few times, both for themed events and just on a regular Sunday. Perfect place for a fun family day out. The walkways and the views are stunning, and the train ride as amazing for all the family. We always have a great day out. The park on entering is great, adults can sit and have a coffee from Buffers restaurant and see the kids play away. I usually bring a picnic and get coffee in Buffers ( which is really good by the way). We use the outdoor picnic area. We had good fun on our last visit trying to get out of the maze! Thought i would get out at one point! Staff are so friendly and so helpful always. Highly recommend for a great day out.

A Gem Worth A Visit - This place is a gem. The grounds are gorgeous, well kept, and perfect for a stroll. The train ride is delightful. The food at the restaurant is delicious, though some of the menu is a little on the pricey side. And I cannot praise the friendly, hard working staff enough. I've visited twice, both times in September. One visit was on a steam train day, and the attention put into making the steam train a full experience, with the staff dressed the part, was great. The young man who was working as an attendant for the steam train went above and beyond putting such energy into his role! Love this place and will be back to visit again in the new season!

Great park to visit - Great day out in a beautiful park. Plenty of walking or take the narrow guage railway. We bought the family day pass for 2 adults and 1 child with train ride for €45. The restaurant was reasonably priced and very tasty. Staff were lovely. There are sculptures and a maze located around the grounds. We had a wonderful time and will go back.

wonderful from start to finish - Wonderful Santa experience, very very well thought out. The only small point I would make is that the presents weren't great for the age group a doll, train or teddy would be better I think to round off a wonderful evening. Also the elves try so hard to entertain everyone waiting on santa why not have marshmallow toasting or something at that point to kill some time too :)

Love this place and will definitely return - Came across this place in a travel brochure and went to check it out. We were travelling with two young children and more intrigued by the train journey we bought the tickets and the journey itself was quaint and fun. The kids loved it and afterwards we went to the play park which had enough activities to keep both young kids entertained. They seem to be a lovely restaurant which we didn’t avail of, however we just got some drinks, et cetera, for the kids, but it looked like somewhere you could certainly spend quite a few hours dining and enjoying the drinks, we walked around the park which was great. The place is quite large so we’d like to go back and try it again. It is everything you need to keep the kids entertain ed for a day and I would highly recommend it. We seen posters advertising concerts throughout the summer and would definitely be interested in attending one of these in the future. The toilets and all the facilities were excellent including the car parking area and I can’t recommend this place enough, go check it out
