Kelly: a great and knowledgeable guide for a trip to Mount Rushmore/Custer State Park& Crazy Horse Museum/Memorial. - Made on June 26, 2024 with our friends and their service dog, a wonderful and interesting trip guided by "Kelly" to Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park and Crazy Horse Memorial/Museum. Kelly made this trip so special as she provided a lot of detailed background information (history, politics, geology/rock formation) on Mount Rushmore, the Indian tribes/their chiefs, general Custer and "Grazy horse"(museum, his monument is work in process). Never a dull moment during this trip. Furthermore Kelly is an excellent and very safe driver! Highly recommendation "XO adventures"for this tour.

A not to miss adventure - We spent our second tour with Dave of My XO Adventures and could not have been more pleased and impressed. What an incredible amount of knowlege Dave has about each of our stops as well as the history of the indigenous people. Each area /memorial had so much information that you know you have to return. Dave was great at finding Bison and the begging burrows at Custer State Park.....so fun. We had lunch sandwiches from a Deli in Custer , sat at a park and ate before continuing on our journey. It was a surprise to see a storm trooper directing traffic on needles highway. Dave picked us up and dropped us off at our cabin. Thank you Dave and My XO Adventures for a really great day.

AMAZING DAY AND MUST SEE IN AMERICA! - A fabulous day with Daniel as our guide. Knowledgeable, professional, and went out of his way to customize the day for our group of older ladies. We saw a large variety of wildlife. Mt Rushmore is a must see here in America. So much history in the area that you need a long day to enjoy it.

Great day tour with many highlights - There are many memorable highlights. Favorite part is winding through Iron Mountain Rd, seeing the Mt Rushmore carving from various vintage points, and hearing the history of how Governor Peter Nobeck planned the route this way. Also looking at wildlife driving through Custard State Park. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enhanced our experience of the sights.

Outstanding experience - We spent 2 amazing days touring with My XO Adventures - the Mt. Rushmore/Crazy Horse/Custer State Park and Badlands Golden Hour tours. Owner Daniel Milks was our guide and we couldn't have been more pleased or impressed. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of the natural world and the people who settled it. We weren't interested in the "cowboys and Indians" schtick of larger tour companies and particularly appreciated his respect for and knowledge of the Lakota people. Daniel also knows the back roads and out-of-the way sites/vistas and we spent the 2 days seeing one amazing site after another. He also knows Badlands National Park like the back of his hand. The Badlands Golden Hour tour was a perfect way to experience the beauty and majesty of this unique setting, as we drove throughout the park enjoying the different views as the sun was going down. The highlight of the trip came after dark, as Daniel knew the perfect place to enjoy the nighttime sky. We did it in style, lying on blankets and pads and soaking in the beauty and vastness of the nighttime sky with no obstruction from ambient light. My XO Adventures is a first-rate tour company that was easy to work with and that provided us with 2 unforgettable days in western South Dakota. We recommend them without hesitation.

Great Guide and Company - I made arrangements for three of us to spend the day with My XO Adventures. We are all in your 70’s and my wife has mobility problems. We were concerned she might not be able to get around or ride all day without her back giving out. We wanted our private tour guide. Daniel assured us the SUV we were going to be riding in was comfortable and he could adjust the tour so we could still see all the sights with a rollator. Unfortunately, three weeks before our trip, one member of our party had to cancel due to a death in the family. That only left two of us. Daniel was very understanding, accommodating, and provided a full refund for our missing party member. When Daniel picked us up at our hotel the day of our tour, we knew we had made the right choice. Daniel spent the entire day showing us around the Crazy Horse, Rushmore, and Custer State Park. He was very accommodating and deviated from his planned tour to meet our needs and desires. We learned and saw so much in the day we had with him. It was the highlight of our three week trip. He could not have been more professional and gracious. We can’t say he was the best since we only have a data point of one, but we can say we don’t know how the day could have gone better. Talking to friends who have taken tours in the area, there are less expensive tours that are more theatrical in nature, but they are regimented and lack flexibility to meet individual needs. If you want an educational, accommodating tour, My XO Adventurers is the tour for you. In the future as we travel the West, we will definitely use them any time they are available.
