Excellent Tour - 10 stars!!! - We have nothing but great things to say about this tour. Gio, our tour guide and driver, exceeded all our expectations! He picked us up at the port right at the time we agreed. He was very nice and friendly through the entire tour - we trusted him with timing (our main request was to be back on time to the port) and the must-see place as this was our first time in the Amalfi coast. He took us to very beautiful placed where we could take our pictures and enjoy the views. He was very attentive ensuring that we were all enjoying the tour. He suggested a place we could for lunch based on our preferences, and we couldn’t ask for more! He made a reservation for us in this beautiful restaurant with breathtaking views - real cool place with awesome food and a relaxing view! This tour is 100% recommended! And thanks to Gio for the great tour, you definitely made it an awesome first time experience for us!

PRIVATE TOUR OF NAPOLI AND PIZZA!!! - We did a private tour to the small village in the Caserta province of Napoli. My great grandparents (on my mothers side) were born in Sant' Angelo D' alfie and my grandfather on my father's side was also born in a small village 2 kilometers away. Our tour guide GiGi drove us directly to the town hall and we were able to locate the marriage certificate of my great grandparents. It was absolutely amazing to finally see where my family originated from. After obtaining a copy of the marriage certificate, we were driven back to Napoli for more sight seeing and a wonderful lunch of fresh pizza and of course wine. If you are ever traveling to Napoli, I highly recommend using our guide GiGI you will not be disappointed.

If you want an authentic and truly genuine Italian experience with a family feel this is for you! - Absolutely Incredible. First, my husband and I and our two sons (18 and 19) were picked up by Giovanni early and on time to get the most out of our one day in Italy. I didn’t know what to expect. My husband did all the research and he picked the absolute best tour. Gio made us feel like family from the moment we got into his beautiful Mercedes SUV. There was a gift there and then we were off. We visited Ravello, went to historic Villa Rudolph, took videos and pictures. Went to Da Constantine for lunch. Everywhere had incredible views and food was amazing. We had time to roam around and shop, never felt rushed and Gio was flexible and wanted to know about us and what we wanted to see and do. He was knowledgeable about the areas we were at and we listened to beautiful Italian music. This was an incredible and genuine Italian experience. A day I’ll never forget and will always recommend. We weren’t even home two weeks and our newlywed friends were coming to Italy and we booked their tour as a gift!

The most perfect dream of a day on the Amalfi Coast - Where do I start with the amazing experience we had with Gio, our fun and knowledgeable driver?! He made the day one we will never forget. He listened to what we wanted out of the day and added in his suggestions to customize the most perfect day for us. From the photo opportunities we stopped for, the lunch location he suggested, the fun conversations and playlist we listened to in the car, to the personalized extra touches, Gio was a wonderful tour guide and we highly recommend this company. If (when!!) we return to the Amalfi Coast in the future, we will be sure to book with him again. If you are looking for an authentic, personalized experience on your visit to the Amalfi Coast, Lovely Amalfi Coast Tours is the tour company to book!

Best guide ever! - This tour was by far the most fun out of all of our private excursions! Gio was full of life, very knowledgeable, played (and sang!) lots of authentic songs for us, and shared sweet stories about his family. We were so pleased with his recommendation to tour Ravello. Absolutely stunning scenery. We will definitely recommend him to others and have him guide us again on our future trips!

Worth the money - Our family of four had an amazing time on this 8-hour tour of the amalfi coast. Worth every dollar. The car was spacious and very clean, and bottled water was provided. Our driver and host Giovanni had amazing driving skills and we felt very safe throughout the whole journey despite heavy traffic and twisty mountainous roads. His knowledge of the area and genuine love for his home city ensured that every recommendation he made, whether for food or sights, was the best. My husband was amazed at how he maintained a high level of energy and enthusiasm for duration of the whole trip! Thanks again Giovanni for making the Naples / Amalfi leg of our two week vacation in Italy the most memorable and enjoyable. Have recommended your services to a few friends who plan to visit Naples.

Excellent experience with Gigi to Positano and Pompeii - Our group of three did a private tour with Pierluigi (Gigi), along the Amalfi coast from Naples to Positano, stopping briefly for a photo op in the hills above Sorrento, visiting Positano, and then returning to a great lunch at a private lemon farm in Sorrento, and then concluding with an excellent visit to Pompeii, guided there by one of the best tour guides we've ever experienced (Vincenzo, or Enzo for short). From start to finish, it was an excellent tour. Gigi was waiting for us as expected on our arrival from Rome by train, provided great overviews of the region and places we'd visit as we drove from place to place, and returned us on time, without incident, and in good form back to the train station for our return to Rome. It can be a very long day trip considering the train departure from Rome at 7AM and the return into Rome around 9PM (our return train was about 45 minutes delayed), but it was well worth it. You do the train tickets yourself, easy enough on the web. A few things to note. Gigi drives you everywhere but in all the stops you are on your own or with a different guide that Gigi can help arrange for you. Positano doesn't need one, as it's small and you can walk up and down the town without concern. Pompeii you most definitively need one as the excavations have led to a very large portion of the city being available to visit and it would be easy to miss a key place or not get the life-in-a-day perspective that Enzo so easily provided for us. Do get the advance tickets for entry and secure a guide for Pompeii via Gigi. Do visit the recommended lunch location in the lemon farm. It's not only a unique place to have lunch at, but the food is very good, pricing is adequate, service is excellent, and the hour or so that you have for lunch will be quite a good relaxation period between Positano and Pompeii. Everything in Positano is about lemons. From candies, to perfumes, to decorations, to ice cream. If you are not into lemons, you may find the town a bit strange. As you may expect, it's also a bit of a tourist trap. So here's a rub. If you visited or plan to visit Cinque Terre, totally independent of the value of this tour, which is excellent across the board, do not visit Positano. Go instead to Riomaggiore, Manarola, Vernazza - they will be prettier and give you the same feel as Positano in terms of being on a coastal, hill-based town with lots of history. Highly recommended tour operator.

Helpful, interesting & fun - Diego was our guide for the day and he was awesome! He was early to the meeting point and immediately got us on our way! He knew all the places to see along the Amalfi Coast and made us a reservation at a fantastic, local restaurant overlooking the sea for lunch. We had just been to Amalfi Town which was insanely crowded, so the lunch spot was perfect, quiet, beautiful views and no crowds. I highly recommend this tour. Also the road from the cruise port to Positano was closed the day we were there so Diego knew the roads to get around and we swapped Amalfi Town for Positano at his recommendation. Ravello was the highlight of the Amalfi Coast for us! Fantastic little town and not overly crowded. You will find great ceramics here!
