Stunning mosaics - Rita was an excellent guide! She took us to some stunning sites with breathtaking mosaics. Her knowledge was very good and she was very personable. She interacted well with our group.
I would highly recommend doing a tour to see the mosaics, and would definitely recommend Rita as a guide!

Highly recommended! - Silvia was a delightful guide - knowledgeable, interesting, amusing and steeped in the history of Ravenna. She started by weaving the complicated history of the city into the sites visited and then did an excellent job of pointing out special and unusual aspects of each set of mosaics. A side trip into a mosaic workshop helped us understand the physical process as well as the artistic basis for the sites. This tour is highly recommended.

Ravenna, a wish come true. - We always wanted to go to Ravenna.
The mosaics of the churches and those of the Mausoleum of Galla Pacidia of incredible blue create a special atmosphere.
The staff is of a competence and kindness few times found.

Money well spent on a quality experience - We (2 of us) just spent a day with Federica visiting 6 of the 8 UNESCO monuments. We are experienced travelers and always like to hire guides to enhance our visits. Her expertise on the history and art of the monuments was outstanding, and she made the visit far more interesting. Aside from her knowledge, Federica was a pleasure to spend time with. We highly recommend Il Papavero. They were very easy to deal with over email planning our visit. Highly recommended.

Marina was excellent. ... - Marina was excellent. She was very mellow and patient, which was perfect for one of our elderly relatives on the tour. Her enthusiasm and love for mosaics shined through her descriptions and explanations of what we were seeing. In addition she showed us many other things along the way about Ravenna itself and it's culture. 100% worth the tour. We had an excellent time.

This personal look into Ravenna was wonderful - We really enjoyed this tour and the history that we learned about Ravenna and the mosaics. Our guide was lovely and walked us into a mosaics store to show us the process of how the artwork was made. I would definitely recommend this private tour if you’re hoping to get an in depth look into the beautiful town and mosaics.
