On this 3-hour private guided tour of Ravenna, your expert guide will show you the most important treasures of the city. You’ll explore some of its most famous sites and admire the stunning mosaics all around you. Marvel at the early Christian and Byzantine mosaics in the Basilica of San Vitale, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the Battistero Neoniano, the Arcivescovile Museum and the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo.
Walk along the streets of the old town and stop to explore the picturesque Piazza del Popolo and the Dante area, or ‘Area of Silence’. In fact, the exiled Florentine Dante died in Ravenna on 13 September 1321.

Outstanding mosaics! Must see!! - Luciana was the best guide! She was very informative and patient, attentive to our needs and interests. All of the places we went to were outstanding! We even stopped by a little shop to see how mosaics were made, and were able to buy a souvenir there. I would highly recommend this tour.

Nice tour. - We had an excellent tour with our guide Flora. She was gracious, knowledgeable and professional and interspersed our tour with nice stories. We also bought mini mosaics to support a local artist.

We had a little trouble coordinating... - <p>We had a little trouble coordinating the time for the tour to begin because of a lie arrival of our Cruise ship to the city but our guide was very accommodating. She was limited in her ability to do the walking required As were some in our Party so she managed the group while peddling a bicycle.<br/>
Our tour was thorough and very informative. She was able to answer all my historical questions and clearly made me realize the importance of Ravenna in hour understating of Roman history. She even let me understand the relationship with Dubrovnik and Venice.<br/>
Would certainly go back again. Worth the money for anyone interested in a deep understanding of the city.</p>

Ravenna has much to offer. - This was our first visit to Ravenna and we were happy we took the time to do a day trip from Bologna to see this charming small town. Needless to say, having a guide with expertise in the history of Ravenna and, especially the mosaics, for which the town is famous, was a definite plus. Without, her commentary we would have had a difficult time fully appreciating the unique historical value of the sites visited. An added bonus was the regional market that took place that week in the piazza del popolo.
