Spectacular Mosaics in Ravenna - We had a great time in Ravenna on the guided tour of the Mosaics in Ravenna. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided extensive information on Ravenna and the various Mosaic sites. We started in Bologna and caught the train for a quick trip to Ravenna. It was easy to walk from the train station and locate the meeting point with the guide. Highly recommend.

Absolutely terrific - Sabrina was wonderful. She took us to 5 locations, one more breathtaking than the next, filling in a great deal of history about the early Christian era as well as Ravenna’s evolution. It is difficult to overstate the impact of these huge but remarkably detailed images made of small pieces of glass so many centuries ago. One suggestion would be that the tour could have been even better if she had used one of those radio transmitters that so many guides are using these days. But I can’t downgrade her at all for this. She was always audible and intelligible, and we appreciate what she added to our experience.
The company could make the signing-up process a bit clearer, as I suggested to Chiara.

Five World Heritage sites in one walking tour, worth the effort! - Iona, our tour guide, had an excellent base knowledge of all 5 sites visited, which she delivered in a friendly and humorous way. Iona was able to answer all questions asked, in way in a calm and interesting way, which added to the experience. We travelled by train from Bologna and the ticketing experience, included in the tour price, was easy to manage.

Mosaics galore - If you have the time, get thee to Ravenna!! Such beautiful UNESCO sites! Our guide, Sylvia, was extremely knowledgeable.

Detailed Tour - The tour was a great look through the history of Ravenna, with the amazingly well preserved churches and mosaics. Our tour guide explained all the details and symbolism present in them, and had a great time in Ravenna.

Ravennas treasures - We visited Ravenna with little knowledge of its history, but keen to see the mosaics. Serena brought the places we visited to life with her huge knowledge, great English and enthusiasm. The mosaics are stunning and it’s beyond my comprehension that they are there. It was a fantastic tour.
It’s so much better with a guided tour than going it alone. There was plenty of time at each stop for a good long look.

One of a kind mosaics - The tour guide was a real expert and the mosaics were beautiful. The tour operators don’t really explain until the day before that you need to take the 1pm train from Bologna on your own (they buy you tickets), and then walk about 12 minutes to the tour meeting point by 3pm. There is quite a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. The tour lasts a few hours, then you must walk back to the train station and take the train back to Bologna yourself, arriving back about 8pm. It is not difficult, they just don’t really tell you until right before the day of the tour. I wish we would have taken an earlier train to Ravenna so we could have had lunch in the city before the 3pm tour—-Ravenna was a lovely city and would have been fun to explore even more.

Amazing! - Our guide was amazing! She was very sweet. We did have some confusion over the title, as it said “from Bologna” so we assumed someone would be meeting us in Bologna. That was not the case; we had to navigate the train station on our own to Ravenna and although they provide the tickets we arrived to the train station an hour ahead of time , and we almost missed our train. Don’t be afraid to ask Italians for help, haha! The tour itself was beautiful and our guide was very knowledgeable ◡̈ there was definitely a LOT of walking compared to other walking tours (sounds silly, I know!), so just keep that in mind!
