The King Cruiser Wreck is a renowned diving destination in the Andaman Sea near Phuket, providing a distinctive underwater adventure. This former car and passenger ferry, measuring 85 meters in length and 25 meters in width, sank in 1997 after hitting coral anemones, thankfully without any casualties. Now located at a depth of 33 meters, the wreck is ideal for PADI Open Water Advanced or CMAS 2 divers. Although the structure is largely intact, caution is advised as some sections are unstable. The wreck is abundant with marine life, such as yellowtail barracudas and scorpionfish, though coral growth is sparse. Divers may face strong currents and limited visibility, and the site tends to be busy during peak season. It is accessible from Phuket, Koh Phi Phi, or Ko Lanta, making the King Cruiser Wreck an exhilarating one-day dive excursion.
