Informative and fun day out. Great way to see the region, find out how champagne is made and of course, to taste some. - Our guide Radames picked us up promptly from outside the rail station and gave us an informative commentary as we drove through Reims, Épernay and between the three wine makers. For lunch, we stopped at a restaurant in Epernay for a plat. During the trip we learned about the champagne making process and how the industry has evolved. We saw the vats and cellars and some older wine making paraphernalia to whet the appetite of engineers. The last winery was probably the best, not sure if that’s because of the host, the fact that the wines were organic or due having spent the day tasting a number of very agreeable champagnes. It’s a full day with good balance of scenic driving and visits to the wineries.

Perfect day in Champagne! - This tour was exactly what I was seeking for my Champagne experience, with visits to small family operated wineries and an excellent lunch midday. Our guide, Radames, was the perfect blend of being knowledgable, engaging, fun, and kind. Loved learning all about the process, seeing all the tools, wandering the cellars, and most of all tasting the end result! Highly recommend this day tour!

Very educational tour. - The tour was incredibly educational and provided a deep dive into the region's history, though it did feel a bit long at points. Our guide was very knowledgeable, if a bit long-winded, which led to some repetitive segments throughout the day. For instance, we visited the cellars of several different wineries, but received nearly the identical technical explanation at each stop. While the information was interesting the first time, we would have much preferred spending that extra time interacting with the locals, tasting the wines, and just hanging out to soak in the atmosphere. If you want an educational tour of the mechanics and history, this is for you. If you’re looking for something more social, i’d book something less.
