This is a must do for everyone visiting Rethymno - Absolutely the best food tour I’ve ever experienced! Our guide, Maria, made it truly unforgettable. Her knowledge of the local cuisine and culture was incredible, and she shared stories and insights that brought each dish to life. Maria’s enthusiasm was infectious, and she expertly guided us through a variety of stops, each one offering unique flavors and culinary traditions. From start to finish, the tour was perfectly organized, allowing us to savor each bite without feeling rushed. Maria went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and answered all our questions with warmth and expertise. Whether you’re a local foodie or a first-time visitor, this tour is a must-do, and Maria is the guide who will make it all come alive! Highly recommend!

Amazing tour - Maria was an excellent guide. Her experience and knowledge made our adventure fun and interactive. She took us to three amazing local restaurant/bar and recommended amazing Creten dishes. She took us to local historical sites and incorporated that into the culinary experience. We also stopped by a Phyllo bakery to see how phyllo was made. We did not walk away hungry. Highly recommended.

Great walking tour of beautiful Rethymno - We had a great tour with Vincent who despite us being the only people who booked on the day still ran the tour. The tour is excellent and you get to learn a lot of the history as well as tasting the local food and drink. We had a great day and would have no hesitation recommending this tour to anyone spending a day in Rethymno!

Fun filled day in Rethymno with wonderful guides - My extended family of 12 (ages 2 to 76) did the family treasure hunt and walking gastronomy tour of Rethymno. There were 5 kids ages 2,3,6,8, and 11. Maria and Costas were such warm, friendly, knowledgeable and wonderful guides. They were able to seamless keep both the little kids and the adults entertained for our whole tour. We made some stops to try authentic Raki, Honey and Olive Oil, watch Phyllo pastry being made by hand, eat some Cretan cheese pie and our final stop was a multi course, amazing lunch in a beautiful garden restaurant. Costas is also an archeologist and had a deep knowledge of history and culture in the area. Maria engaged and charmed our kids with a pirate treasure hunt and Greek mythological tales over lunch. We highly recommend this tour for a fun and delicious day with the family. Thank you to Maria and Costas!

A wonderful introduction to Cretian history and cuisine. - Nora was an excellent guide, so friendly and knowledgeable. We learned.so much about Cretian food and the history of Crete. Breakfast in the park was a treat sitting under the cool shade of the trees. We learned how to recognise authentic olive oil and honey in one stop over, and at lunch we got to sample a range of delicious dishes in an old venetian courtyard. A highlight was visiting the bakery where we saw how the dough is made and prepared for baklava. We also learned the significance of raki as part of the Cretian hospitality. The tour was a great introduction to Crete and has made our holiday experience all the richer.

Every food spot was delicious, showcasing different elements of Cretan cuisine. Learning about the rich history of this city was both eye-opening and enthralling. Highly recommend!
