Next, follow the riverbed, splashing through crystal-clear waters and natural pools, enjoying the beauty of the natural landscape.
This gorge is a unique ecosystem, offering the opportunity to observe various amphibious creatures such as frogs, colorful dragonflies, freshwater turtles, and, if fortunate, spot vultures soaring above.
The middle section of the route is secluded from crowds and accessible to everyone, with no challenging parts.
Later, pause for a snack under towering plane trees, with time to swim and enjoy locally prepared tea. Before concluding the tour, stroll through beautiful gardens with tropical vegetation and a typical Cretan olive grove.
