Northern Lights Surprise & Easy Ride - We used it twice 11 PM-ish on March 2nd and March 9th 3:30 AM . On time, one transfer to a smaller shuttle. Too excited to sleep & driver announced Northern lights first night on the way from Keflavik airport to Reykjavík from the left-hand side… nice surprise! Ride back to Keflavik was comfy & slept like a baby

Good service, but read the additional info. - Good service, but please read the additional information sent by the operator - you can choose the time that you wish to be picked up, but the time given is actually the time of departure from the bus station, you will be picked up from the hotel or bus stop 30 mins prior to your chosen time. If you are not there on time, the bus will depart without you.

Waving good bye - Waving goodbye to our coach as he stopped for 3 secinds then drove off. We carried on building our snowman. The next coach driver reluctantly took us but made it clear we were no on his list. Apart from that no really problems, got to the airport on time.

Not living up to the reputation! - We arrived at Keflavik Airport past midnight on 16th Feb after over 20 hours flying and layovers. As I had made a booking with Grayline for their 0115 departure from the airport I went to the counter and was informed 0115 bus was not available due to a breakdown and we will have to wait for 0230 bus. Obviously, we were not going to wait for over 1 hour and made use of another service provider having to pay again. I have informed this to Grayline customer service, and they promised to refund me the fare, which I am still awaiting. Yes, I accept the fact that a breakdown of the bus is acceptable, but I feel they should have worked out an alternate arrangement if they knew they were unable to provide the service for which we have already paid for...especially for a Company like Grayline which has a huge reputation to maintain.

Appalling service from Grayling/Airport Direct/Smart Bus - We booked tickets on a coach shuttle run by Grayline/Airport Direct/Smart Bus, that was to collect us from a collection point in Reykjavik, and take us to a depot where we would board a coach to Keflavik Airport. We were shown on the map where to wait, and were told it would be a green bus run by Smart Bus, which would collect us at some point between 7.30 and 8 am, and take us to the depot for the 8 am bus to the airport. We were at the stop at 7.15. We waited for 75 minutes before giving up and taking a taxi. During our wait, 3 buses that fitted the description we were given drove by on the other side of the dual carriageway, but none on our side. We are now given 'evidence' that their driver did stop at the collection point twice, and collected other passengers, and therefore we are due no refund. I would STRONGLY ADVISE NOT TO BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. Fortunately we managed to arrive at the airport just in time for our flights, but we were completely let down by this company.

Unreliable - We were never picked up and had to make last minute plans to take a taxi to the airport. Very unreliable.

Unreliable bus service - DO NOT book through Gray Line Iceland, at least for the bus pick up to the airport. They told us to be there 30 minutes before our scheduled ticket, but they never ended up showing up, and we were stranded outside the bus stop in 20 degree Fahrenheit weather for almost 40 minutes until we called a 200 euro taxi to the airport so that we wouldn't miss our flight. I contacted the Gray Line customer service to issue me a refund, and they claimed that the bus driver "did indeed show up", (they didn't), and refused to issue me the refund. If you don't want the hassle of having the drivers not showing up, you're better off booking with another service.

Highly recommend taking a different bus service. Avoid - The bus service did not pick me up and I nearly missed my flight (ended up taking a taxi after waiting outside for over 90mins) and refuses to give me a refund for a service that I did not receive.

So disappointed - I reserved a hotel transport from our hotel to the International airport for 2pm. A voucher was stating pick-up at 2pm. We were ready and waiting at 1:45. We waited until 2:15 and then had the Hotel reception call number on voucher. We were told the shuttle came at 1;30 and we missed it and they could not pick us up until 3pm. That would not work because it is a 45 minute ride to airport and we had an international flight leaving at 5pm. We had no other option that to take a taxi for $150. NOWHERE on the voucher or emails confirming did it say pick-up was at 1:30, and when I requested a refund, I was denied. After booking MANY tours through Viator, I will seriously reconsider choosing them after this experience.
