Relaxing - I enjoyed the Blue Lagoon and would recommend this activity. Relaxing and much needed after a long flight.

Amazing - We were surprised at how large the Blue Lagoon is. It is an amazing place. The bus driver could have given some instructions. It was confusing at the drop off to another van.

Was OK - Thought the pickup meeting place was much closer to the cruise terminal. It’s not. Was about a $50cdn cab ride to the bus terminal before bus to Lagoon. You’re basically on your own and the driver was not very communicative. I think there might be more convenient and affordable ways to do this from the cruise port. The lagoon is amazing and the staff there were very friendly and helpful. Fortunate that it was open given the volcano acting up nearby.

A bit mehhh - The whole experience was a little underwhelming for the price and the fuss everyone makes about it. OK, this is a large complex of pools fed with silica infused water from the nearby geothermal power plant. That bit is pretty unique, it has to be said. You get a mud mask and a drink at the swim up bar thrown in with the Comfort package. However the restaurant, cafe, gift shop and ludicrously expensive spa lotions and potions are pretty standard. The changing arrangements, steam room and sauna are the equivalent of any country club back home. Included in the price you get a two hourly transfer to and from downtown Reykjavik that takes 45 minutes. Part of that was a drive across a hot lava field where the recent eruptions had buried about 500 metres of the road - which was actually one of the highlights for me!

Blue Lagoon amazing, but Viators lack of informatiion allowed us 1:30 in the water and 2 hours on a bus, not cool - We loved our short experience at The Blue Lagoon, BUT were not expecting it to be so short. When booked through Viator I would expect the app taking a cut to advise us of the exact times of not only pick up chosen but also of the last pick up time of the day from Blue Lagoon. Not to find out when getting of the coach that the last bus was 2:15 after arriving. We spent more time on the bus RT than we did at our experience. We could have chosen an earlier time to arrive at Lagoon if we had been advised by Viator (who we paid a fee), or gone straight from airport. When reaching out to tour operator, they “apologized” stating that on their site it states last bus at 8:15 but unfortunately Viator, which we received all our information from via app and text said nothing of the sort, only pick up time. This is deceitful and very unfortunate.

Lagoon great- tour operator not - Loved the Lagoon BUT the bus driver was not helpful. Did not alert us to the time we needed to be at bus. Viator said 5 hours (we got there at 6) and no where were we told we had to leave at 8:15. Soooo it cost us 159 usd to get back to ship port. Poor communication from viator and the operator. Read the fine print. They send you an email 24 hours before departure. Supposedly one of the random links in the email had information. But seeing as how you don’t have access to emails readily while vacationing- you will prob miss the info!

Bad Day at Blue Lagoon - On arrival at the venue Blue Lagoon would not recognize my voucher and said they had no record of the booking. I would not recommend booking this excursion through Viator.
