Beautiful waterfall amazing scenery - We had a wonderful tour with Troll. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and interactive. Dress warm and in layers, the mini bus can get rather warm. Wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes, you are going to be on the go quite a bit. Make sure to carry water and snacks on the tour. Food is very expensive in Iceland so try to share your meal if you have to stop for lunch. Kerid Cater was beautiful, you take a small uphill hike to see it all. Bruarfoss and Gulfoss are so picturesque there are a lot of steps but so worth it, and the Golden Circle I just don't get. There is a nice geyser that spouts off every few minutes and some hot spots with boiling water and steam coming out. Most of the area was roped off. I have been to Yellowstone and maybe expected just a bit too much. We stopped in Laugarvatn where bread is baked in the ground and eggs are boiled in a hot stream. The scenery on this tour is just fantastic.

Golden Circle and Farm Tour with Troll - Did this tour October 3 with Troll's only woman driver, Cora. She gave us a great deal of information about the sites and their history mixed with a great sense of humor. Of course the sites are incredibly beautiful - even though it was drizzly and grey for a good bit of the tour. The tour covers Thingvellir National Park, where you are actually between two tectonic plates (North American and EuroAsian), the Gullfoss waterfall, a spectacular glacier-water fall, and the Geysir at Strokkur hot spring that erupts every 5 minutes or so. There is also a big restaurant, souvenir shop there. Bruarfoss waterfall is included and is stunning. The final stop was the Kerid volcano crater and lake where the wind nearly blew me away. You can walk around the whole rim of the crater. The ice cream stop was most enjoyable - as Cora said, Iceland has the best ice cream in the world. At each stop you could go as far as time would let you but always had the the option to go back to the heated bus. The tour is a maximum of 19 people. It is an all-day excursion. Lunch isn't included but there are stops where you can get food/drinks. There is free WiFi on the bus. PS - Cora is the best!

Golden Circle - Good tour, punctional, lots of sights and information. A little rushed at a couple of the stops. Would recommend. Guide, Bjorn, was a qell of information. Iceland has the purest water, no pollution, no plastic...every river we saw or crossed.
