Highlights
- Hjálparfoss - Two rivers meet at this waterfall surrounded by basalt rock formations. The pool formed at the base of the falls is known for the turquoise hew of its water
- Haifoss - Iceland´s fourth highest waterfall stands 122 meters high and is set in stunning countryside. Nearby Granni waterfall is almost as imposing. This is the only day tour that visits Háifoss.
- Bláhylur - The volcanic crater lake was formed 1200 years ago by a massive eruption of two nearby volcanoes

The spectacular tour of the popular highland region in Landmannalaugar offers something for everyone. Nature is raw and untouched in the unique landscape. Hike on trails through ancient lava fields and multi-colored rhyolite hills, bathe in natural hot-springs and see amazing geological wonders such as Hjálparafoss waterfall and Hnausapollur volcanic crater lake. This is also the only day tour that features Háifoss and Granni waterfalls. Your guide will take you on an approx 2 hour hike on the trails. This hike is optional as you can also do your own thing if you prefer and meets back up with the group later. Join us then on our highland bus and visit the beautiful Landmannalaugar.

Highland hiking is wonderful - Kalman is clearly a very experienced guide. He talks about geology and gives advice to the hiking routes, which is very useful for us to hiking in the highland. And a little thing I want to add is that it's also very suitable for someone as introvert as me.

Great taste of an iconic hike - Wow! On this hike we saw glaciers, sheep, colorful mountains, lava fields, bright green moss, and even rainbows. We climbed and felt challenged but not overwhelmed. The guide, NIKU, was so incredibly patient even though he was a fully accomplished hiker. He gave us terrific information, too. He paced the hike well, giving appropriate rest stops. And we topped it off with a natural hot pool soak! This trail is an iconic one and a top hike in the world. This is just one section. If you only have a short time, it is great to get a taste!

MariJo - I had an fantastic time on the tour with our driver and guide. Halldór was giving a lot of interesting information about Iceland. We were crossing the rivers and riding into the highlands where we had chance to see the breathtaking landscapes and waterfalls. We had photo stops in the most interesting places, and have been lead through the Landmannalaugar paths with explanations of the Geology. The tour was a real adventure with a hot spring pool at the end of trail as a cherry on top.

Great experience past the normal tourist areas - The day-trip was amazing and full of wonderful views that would be hard to get to with just a regular rental car. The guide gave us so much information regarding Iceland and life on the island. The hot spring after the hike was amazing and such a treat. Small group of only 10 people plus the guide. 10/10 recommend going if you have a full day in Reykjavik!

Nice tour to Landmannalaugar - Very nice a day long trip. We had enough time in Landmannalaugar. After reached submit of Lavgavegur, we had lunch, and spent over an hour in hot-spring bath. The guide was very nice to take care every one in the group, provided many knowledge about areas. The driver drived very smoothly. Even 6 hours round trip, half on bumpy F-road, but we were very relaxing. Highly recommend this tour if you visit Iceland in the summer.

Rocky start, but good trip - Our guide was great and a skilled driver. However, the trip got off to a rocky start because we had to wait an extra 45 minutes for our bus. The bus wasn’t available and someone called out sick, so there was no driver and an alternate had to be called in. Once we got on the road, it was nice.

No refund for their cancellation - They cancelled the trip a few days before we were to go without warning and claimed to provide a refund, but after a month and a half, and my contacting both them and my credit card company I do not have a refund.
