Funny, educational, and easy! - We had such a great time walking around Reykjavik with Lalli. This was the very first thing we did after arriving, and I wouldn’t change a thing. It was a great way to get to know the city and gather ideas for our next few days. Thanks for a fantastic time, Lalli!

Do yourself a favour- take a tour with Lalli! - We loved our Funky History Tour with the entertaining & informative Lalli. We learnt about vikings, explorers, conquerors, some of the questionable aspects of Icelandic history and then the modern renaissance. The tour was well paced and the famous hot dog was a lovely (& delicious) surprise. Highly recommended!!

Get Funky in Reykjavik! - Don’t let the name throw you off, this is a fantastic historical and informational tour you’ll find in Reykjavík. Kallie guided us while telling the history of the city, details of the Vikings, development of the country, curiosities of the language with English, and great tips on how to best enjoy your stay in Iceland. It was complete and detailed, yet light and enjoyable. It’s my experience that the best tours are given by a local who loves living there. Lillian is that and more. Strongly recommend taking this tour as soon as you arrive to hit the ground running! Get Funky and you’ll be happy you did!

Best. Tour. Ever. - My husband and I had a very enjoyable tour with Lalli! He’s very knowledgeable and had a lot of great information. We had toured with another walking tour company and were not satisfied. I am so glad I found Funky Iceland in Reykjavík. If you’re interested in really learning about the city, Iceland, and in seeing some places that you might not normally go to, I would highly recommend their services! When I come again, we will use this service and will recommend Funky Iceland to all my friends and family who plan to visit!

Great tour get the hot dog with everything - I came into Iceland knowing nothing but of Björk and the Sugarcubes. Taking the Funky Iceland tour was not only informative but fun. There were plenty of tours to choose from, but Funky Iceland, albeit smaller has got to be better. I love the smaller groups with walking tours as the experience is much more personal and attentive. I ask a lot of questions and never felt like a bother. Lalli was amazing. He is funny, engaging and knowledgeable. He was able to expand beyond what his story was with ease showing how he wasn’t memorizing a script as much as telling a story as if he lived it. He even helped a girl working on a school project during our tour. He didn’t not gloss over the uglier parts of the history at all. He recognized they were not so nice but still Important to the Iceland of today. I now tell people about this tour and all the Amazing knowledge I’m now imbued with. How can a tour that ends with a hot dog be bad?

A walk following the icelandic path among their sheeps - This was fun walk with an introduction to the less known facts about icelanders, vikings and the transformation from poverty to riches and Calvinistic tribal society to nowadays open society with a hint of wokeness. lalli provides an icelandic point of view which helps understanding this small society.
