Otherworldly! - What a wonderful day exploring the dramatic geographic contrasts which make up this amazing island. Otherworldly doesn't even touch it! Kudos to our guide as well. He was a wealth of knowledge on a vast array of topics. If you only have time for one extended tour while in Iceland, do this one!!

Good trip with Flosi - Tour guide/driver was Flosi, a retired teacher who offered a good perspective as someone who has seen the country change over the past few decades. Provided geology lessons and mythology lessons and provided good tips for staying in time at the different stops. He added an extra visit to a glacier that he and some coworkers discovered. Offered a great opportunity to get close to a glacier with needing extra gear. The actual stops were good. It’s just a long day, which is unavoidable. I was relieved that diamond beach had enough ice in rainy late Oct to keep it interesting.

Good tour, bring extra clothes - We had Stefen as a tour guide and Blazer as our driver - who was a very good and careful driver . Stefen was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with lots of information about Iceland. The tour was a great way to see different and interesting parts of Iceland. We really enjoyed the glacier lagoon and being able to see icebergs and seals. We only had two "negative" points. 1. The trip is very long - which isn't really a negative because we did know about the time in advance, however , it is still important to point out. As we had quite a bit of rain, we were then sat in cold and wet clothes for a long time and the bus wasn't warm enough to warm back up again . Would recommend bringing a change of clothes. 2. On the way back we stopped for dinner. However, we only had a 45 minute break and we were approx 60 people all ordering from the same place, including other tourists. Unfortunately 45 minutes was only just enough time to get our food but not to eat it. It would be good if the break was at least an hour All in all we can gladly recommend this trip for anyone wanting to see a lot of the south coast ☺️ Thank you Stefen, thank you Blazey for the experience.

Incredible…. But be warned read on…. - I really enjoyed this trip. The views were spectacular. It was incredible seeing these icebergs close up. The black sand and small ice bergs looked amazing. The reason for 4 stars is because Viator stated the trip didn’t include the boat tour of the glacier lagoon and that this could be purchased on the day- be warned this is not the case. Luckily the tour guide reserved some tickets for those on the tour but you may well miss out on this. Ensure you book a place on the boat beside you go. Google boat tours at this lagoon.
